Study finds bird watching may be good for your brain

ATLANTA — Bird watching may be good for your brain.

Researcher Erik Wing says expert bird watchers have a keen eye, and strong memories.

“The expert groups are enduring benefits of engaging this activity that lasts a throughout a life span,” Wing said.

Wing says although the study doesn’t prove that birding prevents cognitive decline, he says the results suggest birding may support brain health in older adults.
