Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Announces Upcoming Concert and Event Postponements

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) continues to closely monitor the recent outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the proactive approach taken by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Georgia and the City of Atlanta in aggressively addressing the spread of the virus. Given the fluidity of events and the rapidly changing landscape, the ASO has elected to postpone or cancel all Symphony Hall performances and public facing activities beginning Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 22, 2020, with a few additional Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE postponements in March and April. This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution for the ASO patrons, staff and musicians in light of the guidance of the CDC regarding "social distancing" and the elimination of large gatherings.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will provide additional updates as they become available and appreciate the outpouring of support from the Atlanta community as we navigate this unchartered territory.

The following events are postponed, except for those marked as cancelled:

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in Concert

Visit aso.org/HealthandSafety for the most up-to-date list of postponed or cancelled concerts, as additions to this list may occur.

Patrons are encouraged to hold onto their tickets for these performances, as they will be honored at the new dates, which will be announced in the coming weeks. However, the ASO has established a few other options for those who would like an immediate resolution:

  • Exchange your ticket(s) to an upcoming performance. We are happy to exchange your ticket(s) for one of the many upcoming Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performances, as well as select Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE concerts of comparable value, based on availability.
  • Receive a credit on your ASO account. We'll put the funds on your account to use toward another performance this season or next, based on availability. These funds can be used toward single ticket or subscription purchases, as well as select Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE concerts, based on availability.
  • Donate your ticket. As a non-profit arts organization, the ASO relies on the audience we serve. By donating your tickets in lieu of a refund, you are providing vital support for the music and musicians that inspire and connect our community. Please consider donating your ticket(s) back to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and receive a donation receipt by emailing asosubscriptions@atlantasymphony.org.

If you would like to exchange your ticket, receive a credit on your ASO account or donate your ticket, please fill out the form here and a member of the ASO Guest Services team will be in touch via email or phone. Patrons may also contact The Woodruff Arts Center Box Office by phone 404.733.5000. At this time, the Box Office will not be available for walk-up transactions.
