More than half a dozen Georgia cities have earned spots on U.S. News & World Report’s 2027 list of the best places to retire in America.
The annual rankings evaluated more than 850 cities across the country using six factors: quality of life, affordability, health care, retiree taxes, job market, and population and migration trends among adults ages 55 and older.
Among the Georgia cities included in this year’s rankings are Smyrna, Johns Creek, Marietta and Alpharetta.
The rankings considered factors affecting retirees, including living costs, access to health care and employment opportunities.
Midland, Michigan, claimed the top spot nationwide in the 2027 rankings.
