ATLANTA — Atlanta ranks eighth overall among the fittest cities in America, according to this year’s rankings from the American College of Sports Medicine.

For the ninth consecutive year, Arlington, Virginia, claimed the top spot as America’s fittest city.

The rankings are based on physical activity, parks, trails, obesity, chronic disease and other health indicators.

Washington, D.C., ranked second on the list, while Oklahoma City finished last.
