Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is a four-day culinary extravaganza spotlighting incomparable food, wine, beer, and craft spirits of the South and beyond. From its signature walk-around Tasting Tents to Whiskey & Fire and other curated tasting experiences, this festival brings over 200 of the most celebrated chefs for a weekend savoring, sipping, and sharing in the flavors of the region.

Roots & Routes Storytelling Festival
The inaugural Roots & Routes Storytelling Festival will celebrate the art of storytelling, bringing together community and culture at South Fulton’s Southwest Arts Center. Bringing together nationally recognized storytellers, regional performers, and workshop presenters for an unforgettable experience filled with inspiring stories, interactive workshops, and live performances, the event welcomes attendees to discover stories that celebrate culture, history, tradition, and the shared experiences that connect us all.

The Atlanta Home Show returns to the Cobb Convention Center for its fall edition September 11-13 with hundreds of local home improvement and renovation experts, hands-on activities and special guests. The fall show also marks the launch of ‘Free Fridays’ – free admission for all attendees on the first day of the show.

The parade in Helen kicks off Oktoberfest! The Helen Oktoberfest is the longest-running Oktoberfest in the United States. The 2026 Helen Oktoberfest runs from September 10 through November 1.
Adventure Awaits! Movie Music for the Whole Family
Families are invited to an afternoon of adventure, heroes and movie music when the Georgia Symphony Orchestra presents Adventure Awaits! Movie Music for the Whole Family at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre at the Cobb Civic Center. Selections from The Lord of the Rings, Spider-Man, Robin Hood, Wonder Woman and more will bring the excitement of the movies to life through the sound of a live symphony orchestra.
Food, live music, beer gardens, kids area and fun all day long! Experience a wide selection of foods from over 30 restaurants. Admission is free.

Noon to Night: Fall Fashion Benefit in support of Bert’s Big Adventure
For the past 12 years, Bert’s Big Adventure kids have taken center stage alongside professional models and local celebrities, showcasing the latest fall styles from Avalon retailers. This year’s lineup includes media personalities Bert Weiss and Kristin Klingshirn, 2026 Mrs. Georgia America Lindsay Shockey, and actor/comedian Antoine Morgan who will join the Bert’s Big Adventure kids on the runway for a night that blends fashion, entertainment, and an important cause.
