Totally ‘80s Night

Totally ‘80s Night is back at Halcyon! Halcyon is turning back the clock for this tubular event in the Village Green. Come chill with us! The event will feature a DJ playing the best of the ‘80s, themed ‘80s cocktails at participating restaurants, ‘80s trivia with prizes from Halcyon merchants, a costume contest, a photo booth and ‘80s themed giveaways. No tickets or registration needed.

Olympics Opening Ceremony

The 2024 Paris Olympics are quickly approaching, and Phipps Plaza is stepping up to the podium with a pop-up summer Olympics viewing party. On Friday, July 26 at 1 p.m., party like it’s 1996 and wear your best 90′s or Atlanta Olympics attire to commemorate this iconic occasion while watching the opening ceremony on the outdoor big screen on The Green at Phipps Plaza. Cheer on your favorite athletes and dance into the night with a DJ playing the best of 90′s hits at Citizens Market Food Hall.

Titanic: An Immersive Voyage opens

More than 100 years after sinking, the Titanic fascination continues. Titanic: An Immersive Voyage represents an entirely new approach to the story of the world’s most famous ocean liner featuring more than 300 artifacts, and dramatic room re-creations from the ship, along with advanced theatrical techniques and breathtaking technological overlays that place guests inside the story of the celebrated Titanic.

The River Rock Concert and Festival

Head to Etowah River Park for a time to rock in the City of Canton! The River Rock Concert and Festival keeps on coming back bigger and better with more entertainment than before. Local Bryce Leatherwood, the winner of season 22 of The Voice, will hit the stage at 8 p.m., on Friday, July 26, to charm concertgoers with his traditional country music flair. Popular 90s Country music artist Mark Chesnutt will close out the Music Fest on Saturday, July 27, by taking it back to the classics where Country music began.

Mountain Music & Moonshine Festival

The Mountain Music & Moonshine Festival is a weekend full of music on the Square in Downtown Blairsville, arts & crafts vendors, and of course, moonshine! The party will move to Grandaddy Mimm’s Distilling Co. Saturday night for a parking lot party with concert headliner, Keith Anderson.

Professional Bull Riders Teams at Gas South Arena

Come on out to Gas South Arena and catch the Groundbreaking Professional Bull Riding Teams League. PBR Teams builds on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides. Events are structured in a tournament-style format with all teams competing in head-to-head matchups against a different opponent each day.

Kiss Tribute Band

Mr. Speed, the greatest KISS tribute band in the nation, will rock the Buford Community Center on Saturday night. Gates open at 6PM and the concert starts at 7PM.  Admission is free.

Jazz in the Alley at Betty Mauldin Park

Get ready to jazz up your night with some talented jazz artists at Jazz in the Alley. Enjoy Justice Michael & Friends, as they perform Saturday, from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. in Betty Mauldin Park.

Atlanta Open

The Atlanta Open returns to Atlantic Station’s Pinnacle Lot for the final time. Kicking off the excitement, former World No. 1 in singles and doubles Venus Williams will compete against the 2017 U.S. Open champion Sloane Stephens in the Sunday Showdown on July 21. Other action-packed matchups feature players such as six-time Atlanta Open champ John Isner and Andy Roddick versus the Bryan Brothers.

Cirque du Soleil’s CORTEO

Corteo, the most enchanting arena production from Cirque du Soleil, is back in North America and heading to Duluth, set to charm audiences in August. This unique production, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, first premiered in Montreal in April 2005. Since its creation, the show has amazed over 10 million spectators, in 20 countries, on four continents. Corteo will be presented at the Gas South Arena for six shows.

Butterfly Encounter

The year’s most popular exhibit is back for its 11th summer. Get up close and personal with hundreds of native butterflies surrounded by colorful nectar plants. Photo opportunities abound, be sure to bring your camera. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase nectar and host plants to start your own butterfly garden or supplement your existing garden.

The Game

Horizon Theatre kicks off its spectacular 40th season of the best in contemporary theatre with the new comedy The Game, playing June 28 – July 28. Alyssa and Homer are in a marriage that’s hit a glitch. And it’s all due to the massively engrossing online game that’s wreaking havoc on the lives of couples everywhere. When she puts together a support group for other women in a similar situation, the game enters a new level where all’s fair in love and war.

Enjoy the magical topiary-like cast of characters dramatically lit while sipping an Alice-themed specialty drink during Cocktails in Wonderland. The evening features live music, scavenger hunts, discovery stations, yard games and even photo ops with a real-life Alice. Come on down the rabbit hole!
