Talk about mind-blowing talent: 6-year-old Lian Yunzhi (nicknamed “Zhizhi”) from Chengdu, China, just broke the women’s 3x3 Rubik’s Cube world record twice in a single weekend. Competing in Wuhan and Guangzhou, she clocked unreal average times of 4.52 and 4.27 seconds across five solves, officially making her the first woman to average under 4.5 seconds. Zhizhi picked up cubing as just another extracurricular next to dance and music, but she’s now grinding two to three hours a day and has mastered more than 1,300 algorithms. According to her mom, it’s far more than just memorization—it’s built up her logic, focus, and deep-thinking skills.
