While tradition usually dictates that a bride takes her groom’s last name, some couples opt for a hyphenated surname or choose to break tradition entirely. However, one Australian couple took a completely different approach: they let their extended families battle it out in a six-event physical competition. The prize? The winning family’s surname would become the couple’s official new last name.
