MARTA names Jonathan Hunt as its new CEO and general manager

ATLANTA — MARTA’s Board of Directors named Jonathan Hunt its new CEO and general manager on Thursday.

Hunt has served as MARTA’s interim general manager and CEO since last August.

He joined MARTA in 2014.

The board chose from three finalists that included Cleveland Ferguson III with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and Leroy Jones Jones, executive vice president and chief operating officer with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

A national search included more than 250 candidates.
