Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer is looking for a new place to call home.
No, Santa’s not getting rid of his lead reindeer. Instead, the puppet that was used in the stop-motion animation special “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is going up for auction, The Associated Press reported.

Santa’s also for sale.
The 6-inch-tall reindeer and the 11-inch-tall jolly elf are being sold as one lot and are expected to bring in between $150,000 and $250,000 when the gavel comes down, the AP reported.

The figures, which were made by Japanese puppet maker Ichiro Komuro, were constructed from wood, wire, cloth and leather. Santa’s beard is made from yak hair.
And despite being more than 55 years old, Rudolph’s nose still shines so bright thanks to maintenance over the five decades.
Rudolph and Santa’s current owner bought them 15 years ago after seeing them on the PBS television show “Antiques Roadshow," the AP reported.
And while he had said he would never sell them, never say never.
Peter Lutrario told the AP: “I always said I would die with the dolls. I’m just putting the family first.” He now wants to leave something for his children and grandchildren after turning 65 this year.
The auction is being held by Profiles in History on Nov. 13. It starts at 11 a.m. PST.

The auction house is also holding other upcoming sales to allow Hollywood fans a chance to own pieces of entertainment history.
The Icons & Legends of Hollywood auction is scheduled for Nov. 12 and Nov. 13. Some of the items up for sale include Gene Kelly’s rain suit from “Singin' in the Rain," Gary Cooper’s Yankee uniform from “The Pride of the Yankees," a golden ticket from “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and Ursula Andress’s bikini from “Dr. No.”
