‘Jeopardy!,’ ‘Wheel of Fortune’ to start production with coronavirus adjustments

Alex Trebek will be providing the answers. Pat and Vanna will be back manning the wheel and turning the letters.

Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Distribution announced that production will resume soon on “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune.”

Fans of the game shows will see changes. The “Jeopardy!” podiums will be spaced farther apart so contestants can be at a safe distance from each other, Deadline reported.

As for “Wheel of Fortune’s” wheel, it was also redesigned to allow for more spacing between contestants, according to Deadline.

“Jeopardy!” will film a week’s worth of shows a day for two days a week.

There is no word on how “Wheel of Fortune” will be recorded.

Production will also take steps to minimize the exposure to the coronavirus, including only allowing essential staff, personal protective equipment provided for anyone in the studio behind the scenes, social distancing measures enacted and regular testing of staff and crew with contestants being tested before entering the studio, USA Today reported.

The measures will align with government guidelines, a production spokesperson told People magazine.
