Crocs sales soar, credit given to coronavirus pandemic

We get it, they’re not the most stylish shoes on the market, but you can’t debate, they are comfortable.

Shoe shoppers seem to agree as the sales of Crocs have increased so much that the company said it broke records.

Company officials increased its fourth-quarter outlook by 55%, saying it made between $407 and $410 million selling the soft clogs as the year ended, CNN reported.

Year-long sales for 2020 were about $1.4 billion, Bloomberg reported.

This year is looking even better, saying that it anticipates growth of 20% to 25% for 2021.

Crocs officials are crediting people’s styles changing during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We definitely benefitted from consumer casualization,” Reese said. He also said the shoes are not only comfortable, but they’re easy to clean and sanitize.

Crocs also benefitted by odd collaborations with entertainers like Post Malone, Justin Bieber and Bad Bunny, as well as fast-food chain KFC, CNN reported.

The company also introduced sleeker designs that helped add to its bottom line, Bloomberg reported.
