For those who want to relive the iconic music festival Woodstock, you’re in luck.

Michael Lang, one of the producers and co-creators of the 1969 Woodstock festival, said in an interview with Rolling Stone that he is organizing a festival called “Woodstock 50.” The festival will be held Aug. 16-19 in Watkins Glen, New York.

The lineup will be announced and tickets will go on sale in February. More than 40 performers have already been booked, Lang said, including “hip-hop and rock and some pop and some of the legacy bands from the original festival.”

“Woodstock, in its original incarnation, was really about social change and activism,” he said. “And that’s a model that we’re bringing back to this festival. It’s a gathering for fun and for excitement and for experiences and to create community, but it’s also about instilling kind of an energy back into young people to make their voices heard, make their votes heard.”

Updates will be announced at woodstock.com.

Woodstock 50 is a separate event from the Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival, scheduled for Aug. 15-18 on the original site of the concert held Aug. 15-18, 1969, The Morning Call reported

While the specific performers haven’t been announced, festival officials promised live performances “from prominent and emerging artists spanning multiple genres and decades.”

But music isn’t the only thing on the bill. There will also be TED-style talks.

A new exhibit, “We Are Golden: Reflections on the 50th Anniversary of the Woodstock festival and Aspirations for an Aquarian Future,” will also debut to mark the anniversary of three days of peace love and rock ‘n’ roll, the newspaper reported

More information, like lineup, tickets and nonmusical experiences, will be released soon, The Morning Call reported.
