Red Phone Booth Goes Pink
Red Phone Booth, a 1920′s prohibition era speakeasy with locations in downtown and Buckhead, is showing its support of breast cancer awareness month. Once inside, members will find bartenders donned with pink vests and ribbons, serving up the limited edition pink cocktail, Brockmans Hope, $15. Made with Brockmans Gin, crème de framboise, an egg white, Luxardo cherry wine, lime juice and garnished with the notable pink ribbon, the fundraising beverage is available through October 31.
The event features artistic “fairy” houses, hidden throughout the Woodlands Garden’s eight-acre forest for young nature-lovers to find. Skyland Trail artists will create intricate tiny houses in the woods to celebrate art within nature. Attendees to this free, public event will discover tiny fairy dwellings built from bark, twigs, branches, seed heads, leaves and other natural materials, tucked in sheltered nooks along the garden’s paths. Colonies will include root fairies, stump fairies, fortress fairies, moss fairies ... and of course trolls under the bridge.

Participating restaurants, including HOBNOB, Bantam + Biddy, The Pig & The Pearl, Toscano Ristorante Italiano, Atlantic Grill, and more will be offering curated menus and exclusive deals on some of your favorite dishes. Underground Night Market
Every Thursday from 6-10 p.m., guests are invited to experience Underground after dark and explore the Underground Roots galleries, shops, music, food, drinks and more. Underground Night Market is free to attend.
The story of how artists helped create and protect our national parks is the theme of this year’s Symposium, with four informative sessions. Talks will include “Undiscovered Waterfalls of Yellowstone” with artist M.C. Poulsen, “Forever Glacier” with artist Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey and more. Both artists will open exhibitions on these themes at the Booth during the same weekend. Museum galleries will be open during the Symposium and are included with Symposium ticket.
The outdoor event will celebrate the best of craft beer with tastings from over 20 craft beer companies and feature food, live music, games, giveaways and more. New Sensation, the INXS tribute band, and ELEVATION, the international U2 tribute show, will be playing live music throughout the day, the Atlanta Photo Camper will be onsite to capture fun keepsakes and various beer games with prizes will be set up around the venue. Festival-goers will also be able to enter raffles and giveaways from local vendors.
The Atlanta Chili Cook Off is a fun filled afternoon for the family with tasty food and live music from the East Cobb School of Rock house band. Come sample some of the best chili the region has to offer on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at the newly renovated Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, Georgia. We are not sure who enjoys this event more, the competitors dressing up to serve ticket goers as they compete for the most spirited team or the diehard chefs wanting to take home one of the coveted trophies. One thing is for sure. It’s a good time for all.
Entertainment includes re-enactments of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, trick and fancy roping demonstrations, Western music, Native American culture and dancing, living history encampments, Western Selfie Station, Medicine Show and more. Shop for Western art, jewelry, clothing, food, pottery and more. Cowpoke Corner includes free children’s art projects, hay bale calf roping, Western Bouncy House, Petting Zoo and S’mores-making station. Visitors wearing their Western best—old and young—are welcomed and encouraged. Activities with high touch participation may be modified to ensure the safety of guests and staff. Chuck wagons, the original “food trucks,” will be on hand to provide a Taste of the West.
The ultimate brunch experience is making its return to Atlantic Station and you don’t want to miss it. Your favorite Atlanta restaurants will be serving up tasting-size portions of their brunch items they do best. This 21 and up event will also include your favorite brunch beverages including bloody marys, brunch punch, beer, wine, and mimosas. Brunch samples will be available for $3 and will go directly to the participating restaurant.
Art Meso, the Atlanta-based, international art and fashion exhibition, is hosting an exhilarating experience of high fashion runway productions and revolutionary art fused together with their Carnaval Couture. Props, models, fashion and art are intertwined to tell a story. The art and fashion showcase kicks off this weekend with their acclaimed Premiere Event on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Following the premiere event, every Tuesday through Sunday until Sunday, January 2nd, 2022, patrons can come to experience the imaginative and immersive exhibition. The ongoing exhibit will showcase trunk shows, panel discussions, non-profit benefits, and much more.

Bill Curry is a football legend. Not only is he a superstar for his amazing record as a player and coach, he has been a life-changing inspiration to those whose lives he has touched. Curry’s book, Ten Men You Meet in the Huddle: Lessons from a Football Life, will be the topic of his presentation at the Georgia Writers Museum “Meet the Author” event at 7pm on Tuesday, November 9th.
