QUIKKIES: 6 devices that can help trim your monthly bills, The Grammys & MORE!

By Vikki Locke

- Michael Buble and Luisana Lopilato are expecting their first child.

- The Dr Phil Show has been renewed through 2017

- 16 million people watched American Idol on Wednesday

- Star Trek director JJ Abrams is going to direct the next Star Wars movie.

Dude Sounds Like A Lady: Ronaiah Tuiasosopo posed as Lennay Kekua when he/she talked to Manti Te'o. Ronaiah's lawyer, Milton Grimes, says, “It was Ronaiah as Lennay. Come on, Hollywood does it all the time. People can do that. This wasn’t a prank to make fun. It was establishing a communication with someone. ... It was a person with a troubled existence trying to reach out and communicate and have a relationship. He’s torn by this. He didn’t mean for anyone to be hurt. Anything that he has done, he has apologized to those he could apologize to.”

This Portion Of The Show Is Pre-Recorded: The Sun Times claims Adele will pre-record her Academy Awards performance. A source says, “It is merely a safety net for the show. Just in case something goes wrong, there will be that pre-recorded track to have for a fall-back option — but only if needed. Adele fully expects to perform the song live, and will have plenty of rehearsal time to prepare.” Adele will perform 'Skyfall' at the Oscars next month.

What A Dope: Two men are suing Lance Armstrong claiming his books "It's Not About the Bike" and “Every Second Counts,” are bogus because he doped. Rob Stutzman and Jonathan Wheeler say the books aren't non-fiction. The men want refunds for themselves and other readers

Doping With the Stars: ABC wants Lance Armstrong for Dancing with the Stars. His rep says, "Lance has been offered the show each and every year since its inception. Although flattered he has passed on their generous offers.''

A source says, "The higher-ups feel he is exactly what the show needs to bring back viewers.''

Commercial Interruption: The Parents Television Council doesn't approve of Kate Upton's Super Bowl commercial - "Kate Upton Washes the All-New Mercedes-Benz CLA in Slow Motion". They say, "It's not the raciest ad that's ever aired during the Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean it is just harmless fun, either. This ad isn't selling cars, it's selling sexual objectification, and reinforcing for millions of wives, daughters and sisters across the country that you use your sex appeal to get what you want. If anything, this ad proves that we've regressed rather than progressed over the last several years."

Flu Like Symptons: Cell phones can spead the flu. AT&T’s chief medical officer, Dr. Geeta Nayyar, says, ''Cell phones make a convenient delivery device for viruses because of how often people shake hands, turn doorknobs and use railings before touching their phone.'' Nayyar recommends people clean and disinfect their phones regularly, use hands-free headsets and avoid taking out their phones in restrooms.

Katie Couric asked Manto Te'o's parents how he told them his girlfriend was fake. His mom said, ''It was a difficult conversation. It took him a while to finally say it, and he basically said, “Lennay’s alive.” And it was complete and utter shock. The reason I say that is because the belief in this person and the deception wasn’t just with Manti, it was our entire family. We had conversations with this person, so in our mind we had followed the same pattern as Manti.''

6 Devices That Can Help Trim Your Monthly Bills from apartmenttherapy.com

Eliminate your Landline Telephone Bill Ooma Telo, $175 A lot of us have cut the landline, relying solely on a cell phone. That makes your cellphone a good cost cutting measure, saving you $20/month without those landline charges. Sometimes, however, you require a proper phone, whether it be for work conference calls or for a home security system. Don't buy into the claims of IP phone services such as Vonage; There are options, like an Ooma Telo. The Telo hooks up to your router and a normal telephone handset, allowing you to make voice calls all over the country. The Ooma is every bit as capable as Vonage service, and if you stick to the basic plan (unlimited US calls, caller ID, call waiting, voicemail) your bill will be a flat $3.77 — no joke! It'll pay for itself in no time.

Eliminate Landline Requirements GSM Module for Alarm System (Security Monitoring Service), $99 If you have a security system, then a service provider, such as ADT, may claim to require a landline. However, these security providers often have a wireless option available now. Call and ask about a GSM module. A GSM Module hooks up to your security system and has a cellular antenna to communicate with cell towers for updates, calibration, and emergencies — all the reasons these services have required landlines in the past. It won't go out during a power outage and will still be functional if your internet goes down. These typically cost $99.99 and sometimes have a nominal monthly fee of $5. Use your negotiation skills to get the device for free or get one without the service charge. Calling near the end of a contract term works best for this tactic.

Cut your Cable Bill Tablet or Antenna, $50 - $400 Acquire a tablet if you don't already have one, and connect it to streaming media services to get your content. A proper antenna will also help ensure you get all the free broadcast television you need. Outdoor models (like this one) are more powerful than the indoor units and will give you dependable reception even in a rainstorm. Cutting cable has never been easier.

Cut Down The A/C Bill Nest Thermostat, $249 You might have noticed a trend here — devices that cut down the costs of household utilities. One of the biggest monthly expenses is the electricity required to run the A/C. Install a Nest thermostat in your home to easily program your thermostat to be efficient and turn off when you are not in the house — you can even do this remotely over your iPhone. The device can even track motion to set a schedule automatically. One little known feature of the Nest is "Airwave." When the A/C turns off, this feature keeps the fan running to use air left in the tank for cooling. There's not a smarter thermostat on the market.

Free Wireless Access Wireless Router, $50 This may be obvious, but you really need a reliable wireless router. This will give you the flexibility to take full advantage of services and features for mobile devices as well as give you the ability to be a good host for guests who might require it when they visit. If you didn't cut your cable, your provider will likely offer you a package that gives you 'wireless internet throughout your home' for about $5 a month. Guess what, all they're doing is giving you a wireless router you can buy for about $50, or even less if you acquire one through Craigslist. They're not that hard to set up, and they'll pay for themselves in about a year's time. The internet isn't going away any time soon.

Extra Hard Drive Space Cloud Music Services - varies Time is money, and so is hard drive space. A lot of users have their drives loaded down with music they've been carrying around since their high-school days. If you're already a subscriber to cloud-based services like Spotify, Rdio, or iTunes Match, use them to store your music and get back some hard drive space. Free services like Google Music and Amazon Cloud Player are also available. The songs stream wirelessly and reliably, and you won't even know the music isn't coming from a hard drive. Don't just delete your music though — store the files on DVDs or CDs, or even better yet, a few USB drives for backup.

Any beer that’s on tap, and keep them coming. You’re meeting your best friend at a bar, completely distraught, after your first fight.

A bottle of something fizzy, like lambrusco. It’s six month into the relationship, you’re at your favorite Italian restaurant, when you realize you might love each other.

Lots and lots of Champagne. You’re at your cousins wedding, and he or she is meeting your entire extended family for the first time.

What A Croc: 15,000 crocodiles recently escaped from a farm in South Africa following heavy rain and floods. The farm's owners were forced to open the gates to prevent a storm surge. Half the crocs have been recaptured. Farmer Zane Langman says, “We've been recapturing them as and when the local farmers phone us to tell us there are crocodiles on their property.''

Lindsay Lohan and Pauly D hooked up in 2010. Snooki says, ''I feel like Pauly made out with her once, it was our first time in Los Angeles and I feel like Lindsay was flirting with Pauly and they made out. But that was like three years ago. Personally I love Lindsay I think she's a fun girl and she's just made a few mistakes and people think she's the devil for it. That's life, nobody's perfect. She used to be a great actress and hopefully one day she will go back.''

All six James Bonds, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, may appear together at the Oscars when the Academy honors the character.

Adele will perform 'Skyfall' at the Oscars next month

Robert Kardashian's widow, Ellen, claims he often questioned if he was Khloe's father. She tells the Star, ''Robert did question the fact that Khloe was his. Any normal man would if they knew their wife had cheated on him.”

Life & Style Weekly claims George Clooney and Stacy Keibler may be having problems. A source says, “George’s new, aloof attitude is taking a toll on Stacy. She likes to have fun, and George has been working more than ever. Lately, he’s been preoccupied with award season and launching his new Casamigos tequila.”

Kim Kardahsian is planning a lavish baby shower. A source tells OK magazine, ''The shower is going to happen this spring, outdoors, under a tent in Kris' backyard. The colors have already been chosen: silver, white, cream and pale yellow. She doesn't want a big party. She has told friends she would prefer if they made a donation to the Dream Foundation in her name instead of physical gifts. This is their first child. Kanye is really close to his family, he will fly them in. He will probably put them up at the Bel Air Hotel and shuttle them over for the party.''

Kanye recently gifted Kim with $65,000 worth of Cartier bracelets

Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb are allegedly in therapy. A source tells Showbiz Spy, “She decided they needed professional help before she would walk down the aisle. They had their first session over the phone – and so far, so good! Nick’s hair-trigger temper has Manolo (Sofia's son) scared to death. Manolo desperately wants to like the guy, but violence seems to follow Nick around. Manolo is extremely protective of his mother, and now he’s afraid for her safety. He believes Sofia should slam the brakes on her wedding plans immediately.”

Kris Humphries wants to end his marriage to Kim Kardashian. A source tells Hollywoodlife.com, “Kim and Kris haven’t spoken verbally in a year and Kris can’t stand for her name to be mentioned. He is pushing his lawyers to wrap up the divorce, it’ll be finalized by the end of February or before.”

Beyonce will perform 'Crazy in Love' before Destiny's Child joins her on stage at the Super Bowl for a medley of 'Bills, Bills, Bills', 'Survivor' and their new song, 'Nuclear'.

Friends of Animals ripped Beyonce yesterday for wearing a mink coat to the inauguration. Friends of Animals director Edita Birnkrant wrote: "People worldwide heard and watched your appearance at President Obama's second inauguration ceremony. Friends of Animals' members and supporters were among the millions who saw, or will see images of, you in a Christian Dior mink coat. What does it mean when one of the most popular musicians in the world endorses the fur trade in such a dramatic way? The message is that fur-bearing animals who are shot, clubbed, electrocuted, caught in traps or have their necks broken on breeding farms don't matter. Their skins are viewed as belonging to humans. It's a destructive and irresponsible message to many who deeply admire you.''

Justin Timberlake's grandfather allegedly died. His grandmother tells the Star, ''I hate to tell you this but my husband passed away on December 29. Justin was very upset. We all are, really. He and Jessica were here for the funeral on January 2. He loved his grandfather very much.''

Madonna is opening a new gym in Rome near the Colisseum.

Pink's husband ignores her. She says, “He’s like, ‘Look, I know you, we have a good sense of humor and I know what I signed up for. I only listen to half of what you say anyway'. When he starts listening to be too much we have problems.”

Lance Bass likes Justin Timberlake's new music. He tells US Weekly, "He's been so busy and even hid from us that he did an album, so I was as surprised as everyone else that he released this new music. "I love it! I think it's something that no one expected him to do. I think everyone was expecting him to do a crazy [dance track], but he went back to his roots and I like it. It's very nice!"

Adam Levine doesn't like Valentine's Day. He says, “I got to call BS on Valentine’s Day. I’ve always stood behind this…there definitely is a large group of people who see Valentine’s Day as this day to take the time out of your life and be romantic and tell the person you care about that you love them, and to do romantic things. My thought about it is…there should be so many Valentine’s Days in your life if you’re going to be in a good relationship. It kind of makes me feel almost like the people who get really into Valentine’s day are usually the people who spend the other 364 days of their lives not doing what they should doing to keep it together. I’m not a hater, I don’t hate Valentine’s Day. To me it should just be one of many days…hopefully if they’re lucky enough to have love in their life, there should be like 50 Valentine’s Days per year.”

Bon Jovi’s upcoming CD 'What About Now' is serious. Jon says, “It’s a moment in time. That moments in time almost forced the record to come out – otherwise the time will pass and the subject matter becomes dated. There’s a little more telling tales with some of the songs. Just because companies are going out of business doesn’t mean people aren’t able-bodied parts of the workforce.”

Elton John is going to perform at the Grammys with Ed Sheeran.
