Parents are wise to want their children to know basic firearms. Kim, Kourtney and Khloe launched Khroma last year.
Miss America: Miss New York Mallory Hagan was crowned Miss America 2013 on Saturday. She won a $50,000 college scholarship. Hagan tap danced to James Brown’s ‘‘Get Up Offa That Thing.’’ When asked about gun violence she said, ‘‘I don’t think the proper way to fight violence is with violence. I think the proper way is to educate people on guns and the ways we can use them properly. We can lock them up, we can have gun safety classes, we can have a longer waiting period.’’ Hagan wants to be a cosmetic company executive.

If Kim Kardashian has a girl she plans to name her after a Miami nightclub called Liv. Kim’s instincts tell her she is going to have a daughter.”
London rugby player Jason Tovey was recently forced to pull out of a match in France after his puppy ate his passport. He says, ''Buster is always chewing things but usually it's my sock and shoes. As soon as I saw the passport I thought I'd never get through airport security with it. I was dreading telling my team coach, I didn't think anyone would believe me. It's a bit like the old schoolboy excuse that the dog ate my homework.'' A team spokesperson says, ''Jason rang it to say what happened - he's in the doghouse.''
7 Diet Tricks That Work from health.com
Put Away the (Food) Scale Portion control isn't about measuring; it's about ordering two appetizers instead of an entrée and cutting back on bread if you have pasta.
Stash Fruit Keep fruit at work. It helps during the I-need-chocolate part of the afternoon.
Set Limits, Then Go Nuts! In the cafeteria use a 4-by-4-inch Styrofoam box, and put whatever you want in there. It's almost impossible to overeat.
Floss for Dessert Brushing your teeth after dinner makes you less likely to eat again before you go to bed.
Avoid Liquid Calories Cut out drinks with calories—juice, lemonade, and, hardest of all, after-work wine.
Break Out the Skinny Jeans Wear something tight! It provides the extra bit of motivation to lay off the fries.
Pitcher This Fill a pitcher with water and cucumbers. It's pretty—and it feels like a treat.

On The Rocks: MIT student Dhairya Dand has created digital ice cubes which warn people when they've had too much to drink. The gelatin cubes contain infrared transmitters, accelerometers and LED lights that change between green, yellow and red depending on how much a person has drank. Dand says, "I 'remember' having three drinks. Seven hours later, I woke up at the hospital. Three weeks later, I built glowing ice cubes that beat to the ambient music ... The electronic circuit keeps track of time and number of sips."
Beer Run: A 94 year-old Munich, Germany man recently broke out of his nursing home so he could celebrate his birthday with a beer. A train passenger called the police after seeing the pensioner with an intravenous drip needle implanted in his left hand. A police officer says, "After several calls, it emerged that the pensioner had bolted from a Munich clinic. He himself said he was on his way to a beer hall to have a belated birthday celebration. The man was then returned to the hospital, where doctors agreed to allow him to have the tall, frothy beverage of his choice.
Made in Manhattan .. Colombia: A London woman, named Jennifer Lopez, spent $15,000 on plastic surgery to look like JLo. She was just 15 when she flew to Colombia to have her butt and breasts done. Jen says, “I felt like there was nothing about me — no boobs or bum, no defined figure. I just felt like a blob. Since having my surgery, I’ve had so much attention from men. I love it. Now when I put on weight, I automatically think the solution is another session of lipo. The only trouble is the cost. We may share a name, but I can only hope to look that good at her age!”
Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have ended their engagement. She says, "Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends." Jason says: "As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever."
The Daily Mail claims Britney wanted more kids while Jason did not.
Britney has returned her $90,000 engagement ring to Jason
A source tells Hollywoodlife.com, ''The relationship was done right when the deal for her to do The X Factor happened. They had to keep it secret for the duration of the show and the holidays for the kids. They knew people would start questioning things when they weren’t seen together during Valentine’s Day, so doing the announcement today was perfect with everyone worrying about the [Golden] Globes. He was more of a manager then a lover, so with no sexual chemistry, it was down hill from there.”
When asked about leaving The X Factor, Brit said, "I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio. Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most."
Britney may do a $100 million Vegas residency. A source tells TMZ, "The deal is a go. There are several stipulations that could throw a monkey wrench in the deal, but it's basically done."
Britney Spears has dropped Jason Trawick as her co-conservator. A source tells RADAR Online, “Britney has made it known that she wants Jason removed as co-conservator. He was appointed to the position when she joined The X Factor so that he could be with her at all times while on set. The relationship has been more than slightly rocky in the past few months and Brit attributes that to having her man essentially being one of her babysitters. It has killed the romance in the relationship, and she wants to get it back. Jason is co-conservator of Spears as a person, meaning he controls who she sees, where she goes, etc. Her father has had that role since the conservatorship was appointed, and she thinks it should only be him, and not Jason anymore. Jason is in full agreement and supports her decision.''
Kanye West wants his child to follow in his footsteps not Kim Kardashian's. A source tells the Huff Post, "Kanye has a very healthy ego and thinks any child of his will carry his talented genes. He doesn't want them wasted on becoming a reality star. He sees any son or daughter of his being a great performer like himself. Kanye sees himself as a great artist. He thinks his work is very important. He has even called himself the new Michael Jackson," one insider reveals. "He wants his child to follow in his career footsteps, not mom's."
Liberty Ross plans to meet with Kristen Stewart. A source tells NOW magazine, ‘Liberty wants answers. She requested a meeting months ago and it looks like it’ll happen next month in LA. Liberty wants to know when it started and when Rupert last tried to contact her. She’s also got awkward questions about exactly what they did together because she’s still struggling to trust Rupert.”
Melissa McCarthy is setting Sandra Bullock up on dates. A source tells the Star, “Melissa and Sandra hang out often because their kids are friends. Sandra has met a few men, thanks to Melissa, and they even went on a double date in early Decemeber. Melissa has already hooked Sandra up with nonfamous friends, including a farmer from Melissa’s hometown in Illinois and a crew member from her TV series.”
Taylor Swift has allegedly written five songs about Harry Styles. A source tells Showbiz Spy, “Taylor writes music in the same way that other women chat to their friends on the phone. It’s been how she deals with her emotions for most of her life. Harry and Taylor only dated for a short time but there were very strong feelings, so it’s been a tough comedown. Lyrics have been written, but Taylor hasn’t come close to deciding whether she’ll ever release them. A song about it will surface at some point but it won’t be anything like the way she had a dig at her other ex John Mayer in one of her other tracks.”
Justin Bieber's managers are allegedly upset with him for smoking weed. A source tells Showbiz Spy, “Bieber’s team is absolutely livid that Justin would be so stupid. In particular, his manager Scooter Braun, is really up in arms over it. Everything Justin does directly effects Scooter’s career and his success. He feels like Justin should know better than to get caught up in all this. Justin’s dad — who was pretty absent from his life until he made it big — is a horrible influence on him. Justin got his piercings and all the tattoos because of his dad, and while his camp can’t tell him to stay away from his father, they’re gently trying to limit Jeremy’s influence on Justin.”
Justin Bieber recently recalled his first kiss with Selena Gomez. He said, 'My first kiss with Selena was the best of my life. It was in the car. It was scary and spontaneous and it was just awesome. What does love feel like? It feels good. If you're really in love then you should get butterflies. Butterflies and happiness, that's how I feel anyway. I never like to throw it in my fans' faces. I love my fans and I'd never want to do that to them. It's my private life and I like to keep that separate. I don't have many things that I get to myself but that's one thing. I'm very happy. And I know my fans just want to be happy for me.''
