A Marti family friend sent Charlie a letter asking for help. He says, "If there's a need for more I told them to call me. I like to pay it forward. People come into your orbit for a reason. You don't always know what that is ahead of time, but if I ignore these requests then I don't have any opportunity to see where these things lead us, or lead me. I think they should name the dog Charlie.''

Teacher Needs Course On Common Sense: A Newman, Georgia teacher was recently suspended after chasing students during a hide-and-seek game and pretending to shoot them. The teacher formed his hand like a gun and yelled, “You’re dead”. He was teaching students about the Sandy Hook shooting. A school rep says, “The information that he gave kids was not age-appropriate. The teacher “made a bad decision. We have a teacher who is the first person to volunteer for things. He would be the first person to protect kids in a crisis.'' Some of the 6- and 7-year-old students reported having nightmares after the lesson.

Fake Diamonds Are A Girl's Worst Friend: Tiffany and Company claims Costco is selling fake diamond rings bearing their name. Tiffany lawyer Jeffrey Mitchell says, ''A customer notified Tiffany and Co. that a Huntington Beach, California Costco was promoting 'Tiffany' diamond engagement rings in the store. We now know that there are at least hundreds if not thousands of Costco members who think they bought a Tiffany engagement ring at Costco, which they didn't.'' Tiffany and Co. is suing Costco for trademark infringement.

Flyin' The Unfriendly Skies: Joe Hundley was recently arrested for slapping a baby on a Delta flight to Atlanta. The 19 month-old was crying when he allegedly told his mother, “Shut that (N-word) baby up.” Joe later denied being racist or hitting the child. Several passengers witnessed the slap. Joe is facing a year in jail if found guilty of assault.

Cruise Ship Lawsuit: Cassie Terry, of Brazoria County, Texas, is suing Carnival Cruise Lines claiming they failed to provide a seaworthy vessel and sanitary conditions after the Triumph was hit by an electrical fire and stalled at sea.

She suffered physical and emotional harm, including anxiety, nervousness and the loss of the enjoyment of life.
