PETA Slams Beyonce: PETA slammed Beyonce yesterday for performing at the Super Bowl in a bodysuit made of python, iguana and cow skin. They said, "We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés, she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits or other animals who died painfully. Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score."
Ball And Chain: John and Ann Betar are making headlines because they are the longest married couple in America. The Fairfield, Connecticut couple has been married for 80 years. John is 101. Ann is 97.
Granddaughter Heather Mitchell tells the NY Daily News, "They are wonderful, generous, compassionate and good-humored. The way they deal with life's lessons and tragedies with such grace is one of the things that impresses me the most about them. They don't think they are unique or special. They think 'Everyone in our day got married this young,' and they don't see how special they are as everyone around them does. It adds to their charm. Grandma is a voracious reader, and grandpa is more of a magazine reader. Grandma pores through books, biographies and loves to learn about people."
John and Ann have five children, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Grammy Memo From CBS:
Date: February 5, 2013, 10:39:56 PM EST
Subject: 55th GRAMMYS: Standard And Practice Wardrobe Advisory
-kindly confirm receipt of s&p standards-
***GRAMMYS 2013***
CBS Program Practices advises that all talent appearing on camera please adhere to Network policy concerning wardrobe.
Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible “puffy” bare skin exposure. Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts. Foreign language on wardrobe will need to be cleared. OBSCENITY OR PARTIALLY SEEN OBSCENITY ON WARDROBE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR BROADCAST. This as well, pertains to audience members that appear on camera. Finally, The Network requests that any organized cause visibly spelled out on talent’s wardrobe be avoided. This would include lapel pins or any other form of accessory.
RADAR Online claims Jessica Simpson's father, Joe, recently blew $300,000 on a Mexico vacation. A source says the money came from his joint account with his estranged wife. ''$300,000 is such an excessive amount for a short break in Cabo. He stayed at the best hotel money can buy, paid for beach activities like watersports and went for fancy meals.''
Identity Theft, starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy, opens tomorrow.
Baltimore running back Ray Rice fell off the Ravens' Super Bowl victory parade float. He says, "You know, the float stopped short and I fell off of it, but I caught myself. I'm good though. I caught myself in the pushup position, got back up and said, 'Let's party.'"

5 Alternative Uses For Beer from thefrisky.com
1. Wash Your Hair With Beer. Want to make your hair shinier and have more volume? Skip the hair conditioner and break out the bottle of beer.
2. Sleep Aid. Beer can help you get a good night's sleep -- and you don't even have to drink it. When you are washing your sheets and pillowcases, pour some beer into the washer. Apparently there's something about the smell of beer that works as a sedative.
3. Slugicide. Save this tip for the coming spring. If your garden is under attack from slugs and snails, just pour beer into a shallow dish and leave it out overnight. For whatever reason, they are attracted to beer. Let's just say they won't be a problem come morning.
4. Revive Your Wooden Furniture. This is a great way to use those half full, flat bottles of beer you always wind up having after a party. It turns out that flat beer does a great job of restoring the shine to wooden furniture. Wait till the beer is absolutely flat and use just enough to moisten a towel. After you wipe down your furniture, it'll return to its original fresh color.
5. Metal Polisher. When your kitchenware, faucets or other metal around the house is looking a little dull, you can polish it with beer! The amber brew is mildly acidic, which helps remove tarnish. Just pour a little beer on a cleaning rag and polish away.
Report Card
A new study by Northwestern University reveals that writing a quarterly report is the key to a successful marriage. Researchers studied 120 couples over two years. Half wrote reports while half did not. Those, who wrote reports had better relationships.
Researcher Eli Finkel says, "I don't want it to sound like magic, but you can get pretty impressive results with minimal intervention. Not only did this effect emerge for marital satisfaction, it also emerged for other relationship processes, like passion and sexual desire, that are especially vulnerable to the ravages of time. And this isn't a dating sample. These effects emerged whether people were married for one month, 50 years or anywhere in between. Marriage tends to be healthy for people, but the quality of the marriage is much more important than its mere existence. Having a high-quality marriage is one of the strongest predictors of happiness and health. From that perspective, participating in a seven-minute writing exercise three times a year has to be one of the best investments married people can make."
Mr Roboto: Dr. Craig Ziering has developed a robot that performs male hair transplants. He says, "We're able to harvest successfully without damaging the grafts, probably at an increased rate of 50 percent compared to the hand method. With the robot we're able to get excellent grafts therefore the natural results is what the patient gets and that's what the patient wants."
Katie Holmes may do Dancing With the Stars. A source tells the National Enquirer, “Insiders say it may be the perfect vehicle to super-charge Katie’s career, which has been in a tailspin since her August divorce from Tom Cruise. Katie and Suri are huge fans of ‘Dancing’ and watch it every week. They’ve really bonded as mother and daughter over the show and dance in general. Suri has been prodding her mom to join the series. Katie figures if she doesn’t manage to land a spot on the upcoming season, she’ll try for the next.”
Jay-Z threw a $150,000 surprise party for Beyonce following the Super Bowl. A source tells the Daily Star, “Beyoncé was over the moon with the surprise party. Everyone was watching as Jay-Z scooped her up for a kiss. But then suddenly he grabbed a giant bottle of pink Armand de Brignac champers, shook it up, and sprayed it over her, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. They were all laughing and dancing and didn’t seem to mind getting their hair getting wet. He even soaked all of their hickory chicken wings and club sandwiches. The room was full of expensive champagne.”
Jay also gifted Beyonce with an $80,000 diamond-encrusted watch with 'Mrs. Carter' engraved on the back.
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may be done. A source tells Hollywoodlife.com, “The truth is, it’s really over between them. No matter how hard they try to fix it. Rob’s tried so hard to forgive. But it seems he just can’t forget what Kristen did to him and how she publicly shamed him. When he flew to Australia to start work on The Rover their relationship was pretty much in the air. I think the only reason they got back together in the first place was because all they really know is each other.”
Mama June has lost 100 pounds since she started filming Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. She says, "I haven't done any surgeries … no diet pills … never went to the gym, but with the show I've been more active. They have me running around and going different places … I guess it's paying off."
David Hasselhoff may not be in the Baywatch movie. He tells E!, "It's a very funny script, [but] I don't know if I'm in it or what I'm doing. It's going to be a spoof. It's hard to make Baywatch into something really real because even when we were doing it, we were making it real but we were having a good laugh at the same time."
Bruno Mars likes pawn shops. He says, “I’ve always had a thing for pawn shop gold. I don’t get gold you can get at a mall. To me, that doesn’t tell a story. I want to see pirate gold, like coin rings and pendants.”
Kelly Clarkson tells People after she met Brandon Blackstock she realized why she had problems dating. “I was dating skinny jeans and I needed Wranglers. Out of nowhere I just said, ‘Thanks for being an awesome guy.’ I’ve never been loved properly by a man, and I was just like, ‘I thank you so much for that.’”
Kelly Clarkson had a breakdown while trying on her wedding dress. She tells People, "I was in the changing room, and I looked at my armpits, and I was like, 'Are you kidding me? I look like a cave woman!' And then I took my pants off, and I was like, 'Oh my god, my legs match!' My nails looked like a hot mess; my eyebrows looked like bushes. I was so not a girl. I started tearing up because I'm like, 'This is not me. I'm usually not this gross. I'm just so busy!' And then on top of that, my friend got incredibly ill, like in the movie Bridesmaids. She's like, 'We are totally not going to get asked back here.' It's my personality in a dress. It's sweetly damaged. A little rock and roll. A little tattered. Nothing like a princess dress."
Madonna is auctioning off her tour costumes to raise money for Hurricane Sandy relief. Her daughter, Lourdes, says, ''My family and I went down to Rockaway a while back and the devastation was awful. It looked like the apocalypse and trash, rubble and tree branches were everywhere. We boxed provisions and gave them out to folks that needed them. 'It was actually really awesome to see how many people were there helping out and how many people cared. There has been an extreme amount of progress since the hurricane despite the damage done and it is very inspiring to see the city rebuild itself but there's still a lot of work that needs to be done.''
Life & Style Weekly claims Justin Bieber cheated on Selena Gomez with Rihanna. A source says, “It really cut like a knife because it happened in February 2011, when Selena and Justin had been dating for months and were falling in love. It’s caused Selena to question their entire relationship.”
Timeline
May 2009: Justin admitted to having a crush on Rihanna. Around that same time Justin told Ellen DeGeneres that he asked Rihanna out and even though she said no, he said “maybe in a few years” they’d date.
Dec. 2009: Justin brings flowers to Rihanna during a taping of 106 & Park.
Nov. 2010: Justin and Rihanna hung out and Rihanna joked about how Justin flashed her his abs.
Jan. 2010: Justin and Rihanna get affectionate backstage at the Grammy Awards.
A source tells Hollywoodlife.com, “Taylor Swift would rather Selena break everything off with Justin and believes that will happen in the very near future. Taylor isn’t a Justin fan at all. There is just a process that Selena has to go through to have that finally happen and Taylor understands that. Taylor is very spiritual and superstitious and believes in the saying, ‘It takes half the time of a relationship you had with someone to get over the relationship you had with that person.’”
Another source says, “It’s crazy that people think this could be true. They are just friends. Selena looks at Justin like a little brother and she gives him advice. They’ve partied together but have never hooked up. This is crazy.”
Justin Bieber allegedly likes Adam Levine's cousin. A source tells the Star, “Adam brought his pretty female cousin into the same yoga class that Justin was in, and Justin immediately pulled Adam aside and asked who she was. Adam laughed at how forward he was and said, ‘It’s my cousin — you stay away.’ Justin couldn’t stop staring at her, and then he ran over and asked for her number. Adam was annoyed and told Justin to back off and be more respectful. Clearly, Justin’s used to to doing what he wants, but Adam put him in his place.”
Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are allegedly feuding. A source tells Perez Hilton, "Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steers clear of her."
Adam Levine wants to beat Blake Shelton on The Voice. He says, “I need to shut his mouth. I need to win so I can shut his face. I just want him to fail. It has less to do with my success. I just want to see him lose.”
