Arachnaphobia: John Stafford is so afraid of spiders that he has to stay indoors on Halloween. The 56 year-old Londoner claims even fake rubber spiders could give him a fatal heart attack. "I stop breathing and pass out, it's just terrifying."
Rags to Riches: Naomi Riches is suing Casey Anthony for $3 billion. Her suit reads: "Casey Anthony is an Illuminati actress who has used the summers 2009-2011 to mock and harass my current circumstances," the lawsuit claims. "Casey Anthony and Nancy Grace are working in cahoots with one another to fill the media with propaganda so that American Citizens believe there is Justice in this country… Casey Anthony called my house August 2011 and told me that my life was being exploited and that I was a hated nation wife, she told me she would come to my house in Fort Collins, Colorado and kill me just as they did Peggy Hettrick in 1987. She let me know that my left eye would be stabbed out as a part of the Illuminati symbolism. She told me that the government was going to find a way to tap into my water pipes and poison my water supply. I was terrified to shower and drink water for months. I had to spend $600.00 on bottled water."
"She (Casey Anthony) told me that there were cameras lodged in the back of my eyes and that my life is a reality show for the Elite. Because of her, I suffer from severe psychological damage. For months I couldn't use the bathroom to go number 1 or 2 without thinking there was some sick wealthy pervert watching me through cameras Casey Anthony claimed were lodged in the back of my eyes."
Mean Girls: Lindsay Lohan and her mother fought after leaving a New York bar. They called 911 from Dina's Long Island home. Lindsay suffered a leg cut and broke her bracelet. Lindsay called her father and said, “Dad, she’s on cocaine. She’s like touching her neck, and s**t She’s saying disgusting things to me … I’m dead to her now. She’s like the f**king devil right now. I have a gash on my leg from what happened.”
**UPDATE**
Yesterday, Lindsay told TMZ, "I told my dad a really hurtful and untruthful lie about my mom. She was not on cocaine. He doesn't know what it means to be a father. He doesn't want to be a dad. Daughters have fights with their moms. It happens a lot. It's normal."
In the Doghouse: Michael Vick has purchased a dog. He says, "I understand the strong emotions by some people about our family's decision to care for a pet. As a father, it is important to make sure my children develop a healthy relationship with animals. I want to ensure that my children establish a loving bond and treat all of God's creatures with kindness and respect. Our pet is well cared for and loved as a member of our family. This is an opportunity to break the cycle. To that end, I will continue to honor my commitment to animal welfare and be an instrument of positive change."
Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon, who Whitney Houston raised as her own son, are engaged. She is wearing a sapphire rock.
5 Surprising Foods That Fight Fat from health.com
Salmon What a catch! Research suggests the omega-3s in salmon and other fatty fish help build muscle—and the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. Omega-3s may also help reduce fat storage by lowering cortisol levels (scientists have yet to confirm how). Go for: Two 3-oz servings of fatty fish per week.
Yogurt Calcium-rich foods have slimming superpowers. Get too little of this mineral and your body's more likely to pack away calories as fat, according to a review of studies. With up to 50 percent more calcium per ounce than milk, yogurt is a potent source. Better yet, its probiotics may help keep belly fat under control. Go for: At least two servings a day.
Avocado For a speedy metabolism, you need to keep inflammation in check and blood vessels clear and supple. Avocado's unique combo of essential fatty acids, monounsaturated fats, and antioxidants helps you do just that. Plus, one avocado's 14 grams of fiber kicks up your calorie burn. Go for: One to two daily servings of foods high in healthy fats.
Beans High in resistant starch and fiber, beans force your system to use extra energy (as in calories) to break them down. Research from the University of Colorado suggests that if you choose foods high in resistant starch—it's also found in whole grains and not-quite-ripe bananas—you can increase your calorie-burning power by up to 24 percent over the course of the day. Go for: One serving of a resistant-starch food per meal.
Chili Peppers Feel the burn? It's more than mere sensation: chilies' heat signals the presence of capsaicin, a compound that, along with capsiate, can propel the body to scorch an extra 50 to 100 calories following a spicy meal. Go for: Chilies as hot as you can stand. (But watch out! The hottest ones—habanero, Scotch bonnet, and Thai or Indian peppers—are too fiery for many people.)
Starving For Attention
A new survey by O2 Insurance reveals that 20% of young adults would rather starve for 24 hours than go without their cell phone. Other findings:
- 10% of people wake up at night to check their mobile
- 11% of people would give up their TV before they would their phone
- 61% of people say their cell phone has great sentimental value
Man's Best Friend
A new survey by the National Retail Federation reveals that pet owners will spend $370 million on pet costumes this year. That's up 20% from last year. Other findings:
- 72% of people will celebrate Halloween this year
- 32% of pet owners spend more on their pets for Halloween than their families while 22% spend more on their pets than themselves
Overage Charge: Solenne San Jose recently received a $15 quadrillion dollar cell phone bill. The Bordeaux, France native received the bill after canceling her service. Her provider refused to admit their mistake and offered her a payment plan. The company eventually admitted they made a printing error.
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are planning to marry. A source tells Celeb Dirty Laundry, “About a month ago they visited celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks together just to discuss some ideas. Nothing was set in stone, but Kourtney is definitely exploring the idea, which is a huge step for her. Kourtney will likely be very low key when it comes to her wedding, so don’t be surprised if it’s not even on TV. That’s Kim’s style, not hers.”
Lohan family members want Dina and Lindsay to enter rehab. A source tells RADAR Online, "Dina and Lindsay both need to go to rehab to deal with their addictions, and they need to get treatment separately. Dina has been acting like Lindsay's friend and not her mother for a very, very long time. Who goes nightclubbing with their mother until 4:30 in the morning? Lindsay was tape recorded by her father, Michael, in which she said Dina had been doing cocaine that night. Lindsay, as someone who has been in rehab in the past, shouldn't be around anyone doing drugs, let alone be going to nightclubs and partying! Friends of Dina and Lindsay genuinely fear for their safety and well-being. Dina and Lindsay are in absolute denial about their addictions, and are refusing to get the help they so desperately need.''
Michael Bolton is going to star in the ABC comedy Michael Bolton’s Daughter Is Destroying My Life. It's about a woman, who works as his social media writer while trying to deal with him and his wild daughter.
Sly Stallone and Robert DeNiro are going to star in Grudge Match, a comedy about two aging boxers. Kevin Hart will play their promoter.
Honey Boo Boo is helping underprivileged kids. Her mom writes: "Everyone has been asking if they can still send fan-mail and of course you can! Alana has just decided since she has so much already that from now until Christmas she is going to donate all toys sent to her, to our annual toy drive for 'Kids Yule Luv' to help our local community. She's also decided to take all her money that she has saved & any money that she gets from now until Christmas and use it to buy even more toys for under privileged kids!
*IF* you'd like to make a donation (toy or money) please feel free to still do so! Last year we helped 108 families & this year we'd love to double or even triple that! Thank you ALL so much for the love & support you've all shown us, we appreciate it so much and hope that we don't offend anyone by doing then! Alana says she has enough stuff now & knows there are many kids & families who have little or nothing and wants to help those families as much as possible! Fan Mail and/or Donations can still be sent to PO BOX 72 McIntyre, GA. 31054 Thanks!"
Teen bride Courtney Stodden recently refered to her husband, 51 year-old Doug Hutchison, as her "dad". He says, "It is what it is… The thing about us is, we can laugh at ourselves and that was part of what we were trying to convey on our show… She can call me dad, I can say, 'I'm raising my wife'. It's all in good humor."
Suri Cruise wants to win a Gold Medal like Gabby Douglas. A source tells the National Enquirer, “Suri is gaga for Gabby and the whole women’s summer Olympic gymnastics team. Forget acting and modeling – Suri says when she grows up she wants to be an Olympian! She really got caught up in the excitement. She’s been taking gymnastics lessons at Chelsea Piers, near Katie’s bachelorette pad, for over a month. And Suri’s coaches have been telling Katie and Tom that their daughter has the right stuff and that she shows a lot of potential.”
Rihanna wants to marry Chris Brown. A source tells Showbiz Spy, “No one close to them would be a bit shocked if they suddenly eloped. Rihanna has told her close friends point blank — I would marry Chris. She even says she would have never left him if the media scrutiny didn’t get so bad. They’re passionate, and when they’re drunk, they’ve both made many comments about getting married.” |

Carrie Underwood loves touring. She says, ''We're having a lot of fun when we're out on the road. If we weren't, we wouldn't keep doing it. We all work so hard and have such funny hours. It's such a weird life that we live. 'We live on tour buses and it's just strange, so on days off I'll go take the dogs for a super long walk. I got a massage a couple of days ago and that was nice. But it's really all about recharging the batteries.''
Taylor Swift and Keds are releasing a limited edition sneaker called RED. She says, "I've been a fan of Keds for years, because they have two of my favourite elements of great style - they're classic and effortless. I remember wearing Keds as a little kid, while riding my bike around the farm. When I got older, I started wearing them again. There's something cool about shoes that you can grow up with. I think they add something casual and cool to your look, and the new colors and patterns are so eclectic. I love pairing them with vintage looks."
Freddie Mercury once tried to escape from Michael Jackson. His friend tells the BBC, “Freddie and Michael got on well until I got a call from Freddie saying: ‘I’m in Miami, dear. Can you get over here? You’ve got to get me out of this studio.’ “I said: ‘What’s the problem?’ He said: ‘Michael Jackson keeps bringing his pet into the studio and I’m not used to recording with a llama. I want to get out.’” Later Freddie admitted: “If we’d finished the track it would have been on Thriller! I missed out.” |

A.) Kesha
B.) Charlie Sheen
C.) Kiefer Sutherland
D.) Lindsay Lohan
E.) Dina Lohan
F.) Michael Lohan
ANSWER: A.) KESHA . . . who adds, quote, "If I tried to pretend to be something I wasn't, people would have smelled bull[crap] a long time ago.

About 30% of workers admit they've taken a FAKE SICK DAY this year. But that's a pretty high-risk move, because a new survey found that 17% of employers have FIRED someone for faking a sick day.
It's tempting to look at sick days as extra vacation days. If you leave a voicemail for your boss and toss in a few fake coughs, you can TOTALLY get away with leaving for Vegas a day early. But it's HIGHER RISK than you think.
--In a new survey by CareerBuilder.com, 17% of employers say they've FIRED someone for faking a sick day.
--And almost one-in-three bosses say they now check up on an employee if they're suspicious that their sick day is a fake. 29% have called the employee later in the day . . . and 18% have tried to get the person's coworkers to RAT THEM OUT.
--But people still take fake sick days all the time. 30% of workers admit they've taken a fake sick day this year.
