Smartphone Face: Plastic surgeons say many people are beginning to suffer from 'smartphone face'. Doctors have found that prolonged smartphone and laptop use causes facial skin and facial muscles to lose their elasticity. Dr. Mervyn Patterson says, "If you sit for hours with your head bent slightly forward, staring at your iPhone or laptop screen, you may shorten the neck muscles and increase the gravitational pull on the jowl area, leading to a drooping jawline." American Society of Plastic Surgeons President Dr. Malcolm Roth says, "The chin and jawline are among the first areas to show signs of ageing. As more people see themselves on video chat technology, they may notice that their jawline is not as sharp as they want."
Sketchy: The Federal Trade Commission says Skechers lied about clinical studies that claimed their shoes helped people lose weight and strengthen muscles in the butt, legs and stomach. Risky Business: Jim Supple, of Rockville Centre, N.Y., is using his daughter's college fund to buy stock in Facebook. He says they have saved $25,000 and discussed the purchase. A Philadelphia man has been asking his dates to fill out a post-date questionairre. One woman, who dated 'Mike' from OKCupid.com, says she was asked to rate his hair, clothes, body parts, manners, personality and psychology. "He struck me as a little socially inept, hence why I was starting to doubt the 'non-physical' attraction. He wasn't too creepy, just the type of guy who over-analyzes every detail and feels completely awkward in the majority of social situations. It didn't seem like he got out much." Among the questions were, "Please rate Mike's outfit on a scale of 1-10, with a higher score associated with how much you wanted to take the outfit off." Another asked, "Please list any physical attributes of Mike that need improvement (e.g. Mike's butt needs more toning)."
50 students, from Cascade High School in Clayton, Indiana, were recently suspended for placing 11,000 Post-It notes throughout the school. Custodian Kim Rouse, who gave students access to the school, lost her job. Superintendent Patrick Spray says the senior prank was wrong. "Students were all over the building unsupervised. We can’t just let people come in and have the run of the place. We're fortunate that nothing got damaged and no one got hurt."
Familiar Face: Marcia Fishman, of Royal Oak, Michigan, was born with a condition called “face blindness”. She says she has a great memory except when it comes to remembering faces. “I recognize people in my neighborhood because of their dogs. I’m meeting people everyday, and I know I should know them, but I don’t … it’s like a puzzle in my brain coming together, until it forms the full puzzle. I tell them right up front ‘please don’t be offended, if I don’t know who you are the next time I see you because I have (face) blindness.’”

I just can’t help it! I get so passionate about it [and] it’s so touching, the stories. We’re all honest, but we’re all very positive about it. We sat down together and really wanted to make sure we weren’t the show that was just like, ‘Oh, you suck’ or ‘You’re not good.’ I don’t ever want to tell someone that.”
