Mirror Mirror On The Wall

A new survey by Simple Skincare reveals that women check themselves in the mirror at least 8 times a day. Other findings:

- 50% of women won't leave home without a mirror in their purse

- 66% of women find the prospect of going to work without makeup on to be more stressful than a job interview or a first date.

- 70% of women won't go to work without makeup on

- 31% of women won't exercise without makeup on.

- 39% of women say looking in the mirror negatively impacts their self-confidence.

Weight Watchers

A new study by Oxford University reveals that fatty foods reach our stomachs, hips and thighs within three hours. Researcher Fredrik Karpe says, “The process is very fast. The cells in the adipose tissue around the waist catch the fat droplets as the blood carries them and incorporates them into the cells for storage. If you eat too much, you don’t get into this phase of starting to mobilise it. There will just be constant accumulation and you will start to put on weight.”

Puppy Love: New Yorker Craig Dershowitz has spent $60,000 battling his ex-girlfriend for custody of their half pug, half beagle, Knuckles. Sarah Brega moved to California with Knuckles after she broke up with Craig. He says she stole the dog. “I’ve pretty much gone through my life savings. It’s worth it. He loved New York. He’s a very happy dog. He’ll be happy wherever he is — especially if he’s with his dad and the friends he grew up with." Brega says Knuckles was a gift. “Knuckles lives a happy and healthy life in California with me, where he has ample room to play, and lives in close proximity to a beach for off-leash dog-park outings." Craig has started an online fundraising campaign to raise another $20,000.

The Sun Times claims Jennifer Hudson and her family went to a Six Flags Theme Park after William Balfour was found guilty of killing her mother, brother and nephew. A source says, “That was one of the few moments of pure fun Jennifer has had in a long time. Going to Great America was a great idea — a way for Jennifer, her sister and [fiancé] David [Otunga ] to blow off some steam and release the horrible tension they’ve been dealing with for so many months. I wouldn’t be surprised if she and David welcome another baby in the next year or so."

Will Smith was reluctant to film Men In Black 3 in 3D because of his big ears. He tells UGO News, "This is my first time making a movie in 3-D. I was concerned at first but I am happy to see my ears don't take over the whole frame. That was my big concern - that in 3D these things would be exponential. She'll be glammed up, slimmed down and totally focused on the show. Her diet includes lots of protein and superfoods to helps speed up her metabolism. The plan is to keep her full in between meals with vitamin juices, so she doesn't get hungry and grab junk food."

Simon Cowell chose Demi Lovato to judge The X Factor because of her dark past. A source tells Hollywoodlife.com, “Simon Cowell loved how the negotiations went and the story that Demi Lovato can tell to her contestants will be a great wake up call for many of the contestants. Simon loves how both Britney Spears and Demi have been through so many ups and down that it will benefit the contestants in how they deal with the record industry. Miley Cyrus just didn’t have that raw emotional story that Demi has on her side.”

Snooki has given up tanning. She says, "When I tan once, it stays forever. I have that natural dark skin. Even if I didn't tan for two years, I would still be tan. I have three applications on my phone that takes you through your pregnancy. They tell me things like what to eat, what to expect at certain times, like cramps or swelling. A 13 year-old Taylor Swift fan, named Summer, and her mom, Michelle, were on their way to see Taylor perform in Sacramento when they were hit by a drunk driver. They survived and were taken to the hospital instead of the concert. Swift heard about the accident and invited Summer and Michelle to her next Sacramento show.
