- An American soldier opened fire on villagers near his base in southern Afghanistan on Sunday. Nine children and three women were among the dead. The gunman went into three houses and opened fire. He may have burned several of his victims with chemicals.

- Uggie, the canine star of “The Artist,” has received an offer to star in a family-friendly TV series. It would be a new twist on either Rin Tin Tin or Lassie. Uggie was recently diagnosed with a neurological condition that makes him shake more than is typical for his breed.

- Kim Kardashian recently slammed Kris Humphries’ sister, Kaela, after she signed a plus-size modeling contract. The Sun Times quotes her as saying, “Kaela can’t have it both ways. ‘I hate you, but I’m going to use you guys to make money myself.’ How hypocritical”. Kris wants a $7 million divorce settlement from Kim.

Spring Ahead: The Detroit Police Department says the Monday after we spring ahead for Daylight Saving Time is the worst Monday of the year for accidents. After studying their own records they found that at least 200 more accidents will occur today than on a normal Monday. Observing DST year-round would prevent 195 motor vehicle deaths and 171 pedestrian fatalities. Arizona, Hawaii, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands don't observe daylight saving time. Indiana adopted DST in 2006.

Bieber Fever: Justin Bieber could be facing legal action for Tweeting out a Dallas phone number. Last Wednesday, he Tweeted a number to another Twitter user that had a question mark in place of the last digit. Fans started calling different numbers to reach Bieber. One man received over 1,000 calls and hired a lawyer the next day.

Emily Horton, the man’s attorney, says, The man has had the phone number for over 20 years, and is listed in the phone book. He uses the number for both business and personal calls, so Horton says the man is reluctant to change the number. He doesn’t want to cut off communication with people. He wishes there were some way to filter out the calls, but at this time, there is no way to do that.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown is dating Nicholas Gordon, the 22-year-old man, who Whitney Houston raised like her own son. A source tells Hollywoodlife.com they saw the couple kissing at a Target store in Johns Creek, Georgia. “Bobbi and Nick were in the music section and then all over the store. Bobbi was kissing him on the mouth and holding hands. They were laughing and smiling and seemed SO happy. She was wearing a black short pencil bandage skirt with a black top and black knee high boots. Her hair and makeup were all done too, like she was going to go out on the town. He was in all black — black jeans, black shirt, earrings and a black wide-brimmed hat.”

Extreme Couponer Gets Clipped For Stealing Coupons: Extreme couponer Linda Altman was recently arrested for stealing coupons. When she found out that Sunday coupons from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette were being stored in an unlocked storage locker on Wednesdays she helped herself to stacks of the moneysavers. Delivery drivers hired someone to watch the locker after they noticed their coupons were disappearing. When Altman showed up and took more coupons, the police were notified and caught her.

Kim Kardashian wants her fans to help her find her next boyfriend. A source tells UGO News, "Kim has rarely ever been single and she's found it hard to be alone since things didn't work out with Kris. There is also the incentive to be in a place to make her marketable for her reality TV show. The wedding and the split from Kris is history now and she wants her fans to be part of her search for new love."

Zac Efron may do another High School Musical movie. He says, "I can't say for sure if it will happen but deep down in my heart, I would jump at the chance. I'm pretty sure everyone else would feel the exact same way. There's a lot of powers-that-be but who knows? You can't predict the future."

 A 10 year-old video of Jamie Foxx dancing like Michael Jackson has been posted on TMZ. The video was shot at an after-party at Jamie's L.A. mansion and shows him wearing red briefs, white sneakers and a baseball hat. Prince's "I Wanna Be Your Lover" can be heard in the background.

Grazia magazine claims Jennifer Aniston's relationship with Courteney Cox has become strained since she started dating Justin Theroux. A source says, “Jennifer’s priorities have obviously changed since meeting Justin. Courteney must feel that Jen has completely forgotten what it’s like to be the single girl and that will hurt given how supportive she and David were to Jen over the years.”

Whitney Houston's divorce documents have been posted online by RADAR Online. They reveal she had $40,000 in cash and $225,000 in stocks in 2007. She had a life insurance policy worth $300,000, $1.8 million in jewelry, a retirement account worth $226,000 and more than $4 million in debt.

The Daily Mail claims Ryan Gosling was recently in South Africa where he had dinner with a blonde model. A source says Eva Mendes was nowhere to be found. "He was having dinner with a blonde model who said she was from Berlin. He tried to disguise himself with a woolly hat and scarf and seemed eager not to be noticed as they sat at a beach table, but he was clearly entranced by her."

John Mayer has canceled his tour because of throat problems. He blogged: 'During rehearsal on Tuesday, it came to mind that I should see my throat doctor because something didn’t feel/sound right. I went in for a visit on Wednesday and a scope of my vocal cords revealed that the granuloma has grown back where it had mostly healed. 'This is bad news. Because of this, I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing. Though there will be a day when all of this will be behind me, it will sideline me for a longer period of time than I care to."
