- A Thousand Words (PG-13), starring Eddie Murphy, and John Carter (PG-13), starring Taylor Kitsch, are both out in theatres today
- Eddie Murphy's new movie, A Thousand Words, is not really new. It was made four years ago for $40 million. Analysts say it will make $10 million this weekend.
- E! claims Britney Spears wants $16 million a year to judge The X Factor. Simon Cowell is offering $10 million.
- Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops will be releasing “Snooki Wild Cherry Soda”. It's a limited edition soda
- 18.5 million people watched American Idol on Wednesday night
- Cissy Houston recently discovered, who sold Whitney Houston's casket photo to the National Enquirer. The Sun Times claims she “had a come-to-Jesus moment” with the guilty party and demanded the alleged six-figure fee for the photo be donated to charity.
- McDonald's is changing their Dollar Menu. They're removing small drinks and small French fries in favor of fresh baked cookies and ice cream cones. The menu will also include 20-piece chicken McNuggets, double cheeseburgers, chicken snack wraps, Angus snack wraps, medium iced coffees and snack-sized McFlurries
- Voice judge Adam Levine is launching his own cologne
- VH1 is doing a Pop Up Video special starring the cast of The Jersey Shore.
- Matt Lauer is getting $25 million to continue hosting The Today Show
- Kathy Griffin's new talk show, "Kathy", will premiere on Bravo on April 19th
- Survivor star Russell Hantz's new A&E reality show, "Flipped Off", will debut on April 9th. He and his older brother will flip houses in the Houston area.
- Tommy Hilfiger is joining American Idol as an image and fashion consultant for the contestants.
- American Idol star Phil Phillips was rushed to the hospital yesterday after experiencing severe abdominal pain. He was treated for a kidney stone and released
- Rebekah Speight says the person, who purchased her McNugget, which resembles President George Washington, has backed out of buying it. She now plans to offer it to the second highest bidder. The winning bid was $8,100.
- Taco Bell tacos are now being made with Doritos shells.
- Denise Richards is going to star in Lifetime's remake of Blue Lagoon. Christopher Atkins, who starred in the original, will make a cameo.
- David Spade has donated $100,000 to the survivors of last week's Midwest tornados
- Starbucks will begin selling single-cup home-brewing machines in the fall. They hope to compete against Keurig.
- The "Home Alone" house in Winnetka, Illinois has been sold for $1.585 million. The 14-room home was placed on the market last May for $2.4 million.
- Madhouse clothiers is under fire for selling male pants with tags that read: 'GIVE IT TO YOUR WOMAN .. IT'S HER JOB'. The cleaning instructions can be found on the inside of the pants.
Stranger Danger: Some men are using high gas prices to try and score dates. They're posting ads on Craigslist and other sites offering to carpool with women. Law enforcement officials are warning women not to carpool with these men for obvious safety reasons. Some of the men are saying the rides are 'no strings attached'. Other men are offering to pick women up at home.
State Stamps Out Moocher: The state of Michigan says Amanda Clayton will no longer be receiving food stamps. The 24 year-old Lincoln Park, Michigan native bragged about collecting $200 a month in food stamps after winning $1 million in the Michigan State Lottery. She said, "I feel that it's okay because I mean, I have no income and I have bills to pay. I have two houses. I thought that they would cut me off, but since they didn't, I thought maybe it was okay because I'm not working." Clayton took a lump sum payout of $500,000.
Model Fired For Being Too Hip: Ananda Marchildon, the winner of "Holland's Next Top Model", is suing Elite Model Management because she was dropped for having large hips. The 25 year-old says after winning the show her hips gained two centimeters in size. She says she wants her $100,000 prize. "I'm proud to be a good role model, that's how I see it, for young girls. If you can't be a model for high fashion, you're still beautiful."
Katy Perry and Kanye West may start dating after hanging together during Fashion Week in Paris. A source tells mediatakeout.com, "Katy hung around [at the fashion show] until everyone left. Then she hopped into Kanye’s Mercedes — and went to the after-party. Katy and Kanye were near each other all night, not all over each other, just close like they were trying to hide it.” Another source says, “And after about an hour, they both inconspicuously left together.”
Kim Kardashian is planning to write a tell-all book. A source tells InTouch Weekly it will detail everything from her scandalous sex tape to her two failed marriages to intimate details about her relationship with Reggie Bush. "Reggie left her the first time because he wanted no part of her reality show. She knows he’s against this tell-all. Reggie was the love of her life. It’s sad.”
George Clooney and Stacey Keibler are talking kids. A source tells InTouch Weekly, “Stacy is completely head over heels in love with him, and she knew going into the relationship that he wasn’t likely to marry her. But she is really ready to have a child and feels that George would make the perfect father.”
Another source says George and Stacey discussed where they thought their relationship was going and having a child out of wedlock. “George brought it up first, but Stacy thinks it’s a good idea. George is constantly telling her how perfect she is for him in every way.”
Lindsay Lohan is going after a role in the next Muppets movie. A source tells UGO News, "Lindsay has been mentioned as a possible cameo in the next movie but she would love it to be more. She's a huge fan of the Muppets and would love to play a significant part in their next project. She has a great idea that involves she and Miss Piggy meeting in rehab!"
Cory Monteith may be cheating on Lea Michelle. Perez Hilton claims days after the Glee couple spent Valentines Day together, he and a brunette enjoyed some hot tub time together at the Mammoth Mountain ski resort in California. They retreated to their room after being noticed.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has purchased a Miami mansion for $3.45 million. He bought the home from Miami Dolphins lineman Vernon Carey. The 5-bedroom, 7-bath palace features a swimming pool and a home theater with a ticket booth
Jennifer Aniston has chickens on her new property. She tells the Globe, "They're very social animals, and they like it when you visit them with a cup of coffee in your hand. And according to my groundskeeper, they love pasta."
The Austrian Times claims Antonio Banderas was recently pickpocketed after landing in Hungary. He thinks someone snatched his wallet as he made his way through a crowd to his car. Police believe pickpockets used the crowd chaos as cover to target Banderas
Sly Stallone wants to do another Rambo movie. He says, ''I'm dying to do another 'Rambo'. He's in Arizona on the border. It will involve him going into Mexico. I don't think Rambo likes Mexicans.
Brian Austin Green won't allow Megan Fox to watch Beverly Hills 90210. He says, "She tries to sneak them on SOAPnet, and then she gets in trouble for it. We have a rule: We don't watch each other's stuff."
JWoww is being sued for $450,000. Her former landlord, Stuart Levine, is going after her because she never asked him for permission to film Jersey Shore in his home.
Eva Longoria has reportedly split from Eduardo Cruz. A source tells US Weekly magazine, ''It was mutual decision. They are staying friends. She's focusing on work and the end of 'Desperate Housewives'.
Jon Hamm recently slammed Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton when he said they make "stupidity" fashionable. He tells Britain's Elle magazine, "We're at a place where the idea of being 'elite' is somehow considered a negative. Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly. And incuriousness has become cool... It's celebrated. It doesn't make sense to me."
Director James Cameron is planning to dive to the deepest place on Earth in the Pacific Ocean. Alone in his custom sub, he hopes to travel 6.8 miles under water to collect data and specimens from the sea floor. He says, "When you're making a movie, everybody's read the script and they know what's going to happen next. When you're on an expedition, nature hasn't read the script, the ocean hasn't read the script, and no one knows what's going to happen next."
Lady GaGa and her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, are ready to start a family. The actor's aunt, Kathryn Loh, tells the Daily Star, "There's no doubt he loves her and she loves him. Now everyone's met her, we love her too! They are perfect together. I'm so glad we got to meet the woman behind all the make-up and the outfits. She's very well-spoken and down-to-earth. She's basic - a sweet, normal, healthy person
Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil, have purchased Schwartz's Deli in Montreal for $10 million. The deli has been selling sandwiches in the city since 1928. Rene says, "It's the most unique restaurant in the world and we're thrilled to be a part of it. Of course, we'll make a few improvements as necessary, but we're not interested in diluting the brand by franchising, or making the deli something that it isn't."
Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, Lionel Richie and Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles are going to star on a new ABC show called Duets. They will search the U.S. for two singers to perform with. Each week, they will perform in front of a live studio audience with their partner. One winner will be chosen for a recording contract with Hollywood Records

60 Minutes is doing a piece on Aerosmith on Sunday. Steven Tyler tells the show he is responsible for the band's success. "I'm going to be big-headed right now, OK?. I think my perfectionism and my busting everyone's chops is what got this band to where it is today. In the end, I get a really good song and in the end, I get the hits. Yeah, I'm that good."
Camille Gregg is Elton John's biggest fan and hopes to meet him when he plays Orlando this weekend. She bought a billboard that reads: "Dear Elton John, I'm your #1 fan. 106 shows/41 years, Please meet me in O'Town 3/10. Camille". Camille says, "In 41 years I've seen Elton John, well, this Saturday it will 106 times in Orlando. If he does an interview on TV my friends usually call me or text me and I try to record it. I've had years where I saw him eight times. I once saw him six times in six days. t I really want to shake his hand and say thank you. It's a fun hobby. I've always just wanted to say thank you for the joy he's brought into my life through his music."
Elton John is making a sequel to Gnomeo & Juliet called Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes. He is currently composing new songs for the 3D film.

The worst-kept secret in TV is out of the bag. A major spoiler from this Sunday’s “Desperate Housewives” was revealed during testimony in NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN’S wrongful termination civil trial yesterday. She sued after her character was killed off the series a couple years ago.
When asked by Nicole’s attorney if any other major characters were ever killed off of the show, an executive producer let it slip under oath a major character will be killed off in THIS Sunday night's episode! Surprise! ABC is not confirming the news, but the actor went ahead and told E! News that leaving the show is“bittersweet," and "It's been a great ride and I'm sad it's ending."
The producer also revealed in his testimony that in back 2008, when “Desperate Housewives'” writers were considering which character to kill off, Sheridan, JAMES DENTON, RICARDO CHAVIRA, KYLE MCLACHLAN and TERI HATCHER were all on the chopping block.
