is replacing Purrfect the Cat with a cockatoo on The Voice. The bird is named Lady.


- There is a Good Humor ice cream shortage in the Northeast because of a plant shutdown in Maryland. Temps in the Northeast hit the upper 90's yesterday.


- Charlie Sheen is going to play the President in Machette Kills. Robert Rodriguez is directing the film.

 

Happy Ending: Karen Klein, a 68-year-old bus monitor from Rochester, NY, was recently bullied by some teens. Karen is a widow, hearing impaired, and a grandmother of eight. She makes $15,000 a year as a bus monitor. The teens posted their bullying video online. A vacation fund for Karen has been set up at . $370,000 has been donated for Karen's vacation.

Ellen DeGeneres Tweeted: "It breaks my heart. I'm so moved by the donations. Bullying doesn't end when you grow up. It ends when we stop bullying."

Woman Runs Marathon In High Heels: 69 year-old Anne Holmes recently ran a charity half marathon in high heels. She wore out three pairs of stilettos during her 13-mile London run. Holmes finished the race in four hours and 30 minutes.

 

Johnny Depp's Rum Diaries co-star, Amber Heard, has been visiting him on the set of his new movie, The Lone Ranger. The Daily Mail claims he bought her a horse so they can ride together. A source tells RADAR Online, “Johnny didn’t want to be with Vanessa anymore. They had grown so far apart, and he wanted to be free and try new things. He was bored senseless with her, being with Vanessa was making him miserable. The spark had gone, and there was nothing left. Johnny just wants more from life and believes Vanessa deserves to be happier too. He's not embroiled in some hot and heavy new romance and he has no plans to jump straight into something straight away, but he is keen to have some fun again.

 

Jessica Simpson gets emotional when she works out. A source tells Showbiz Spy, “She doesn’t want to leave her baby. Sometimes she just starts crying. It’s hard for her. Jessica wants to set a good example for Maxi. She wants to teach her daughter to have a healthy lifestyle.” Jessica hopes to lose 50 pounds in five months.
