Inside Voice: The New York Mets may introduce a “designated quiet-seating section” in Citi Field. It would feature lower volume PA announcements, no music, no cheerleading and quieter vendors. Most fans dislike the left field idea.

Babies Are Expensive

A new report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture reveals that it will cost $234,900 to raise a child born in 2011. In 1960, the first year the report was produced, a middle-income family would have expected to spend $25,000 over the course of 17 years, or $191,720 adjusted for today’s dollars.

 

 Daddy's Little Girl

A study by Poland's University of Durham reveals that women are attracted to men, who look like their fathers. Dr. Lynda Boothroyd studied 49 women and found that those, who had good relationships with their fathers as youngsters sought out mates with similar physical attributes. She says, "It was not that the women who did not have such a good relationship with their father went out to avoid similar faces. It was more that those who had the best relationships were particularly drawn to men who looked like their dads." Researchers showed the women two sets of pictures. One set featured men who looked like their fathers while the other featured men who looked nothing like their dads. Almost all of the women were attracted to the men who looked like their fathers.

 

According to an AT&T survey, 25% of dads want a hug for Father's Day.

 

Long Train Running: Designer Gianni Molaro made a wedding dress that was two miles long. It featured 1.86 miles of tulle and six miles of silk. 600 volunteers kept it off the ground at Elena De Angelis' wedding.

 

John Travolta and his family may do a reality show for Oprah's OWN Network. A source tells the National Enquirer, “John has a thick skin when it comes to these gay headlines, but Kelly Preston suddenly realized that bringing cameras into their home might be the perfect way to show that she and John are a REAL husband and wife in a tight-knit, loving family.”

 

Russell Brand and Tom Cruise became close on the set of Rock of Ages. Russell says, "I hung out with Tom Cruise. He's a pal of mine now. He got me a meal which I had to eat in front of him because he had already eaten - that was a bit intimidating. But he's a nice guy, with the kind of twinkly eyes you would do anything for!"

''It was the last gift to be opened and I wrapped it in seven different boxes so Camila would have to keep unwrapping. She got the ring, I took a knee and asked her to marry me and take my name. After a bit, she conceded ... thankfully.''

 

Kim Kardashian may move to Atlanta. A source tells Hollywoodlife.com, “Kanye is secretly looking to buy Kim a nice little property in Atlanta so they can be really connected. He’s from Atlanta and loves his hometown and he’s looking at places in Buckhead for Kim. Money ain’t an issue. [He] is completely nuts over this girl and wants her by his side at all times. If you ask me, I think they’re both whipped on each other. Kim would love it in Atlanta. Her and Kanye living there would really blow the city up.”

 

Britney Spears demands her X Factor dressing room be stocked with junk food.

A source tells NOW magazine, ''Britney's causing a stir backstage. She's asked for macaroni and cheese, potato pancakes, chicken nuggets, Snickers bars and gum as well as a popcorn maker and a candyfloss machine.''

  

Coldplay spent $640,000-a-night to supply fans with flashing wristbands for their concerts. Chris Martin says, "Most of the money we're earning on the tour is put into the wristbands. We have to figure out how to keep it going without going broke because it's a crucial part of the concert."

 

Russell Brand is dating Katy Perry look-a-like Emily Hartridge. She is 28 and from London.

 

Adam Levine is going to star in 'Can A Song Save Your Life' with Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo and Hailee Steinfeld. Deadline Hollywood says Knightley plays a woman who moves with her boyfriend (Levine) to New York to pursue music careers. After he dumps her for a solo contract, she is discovered singing at a local bar by a down-on-his-luck record producer (Ruffalo).

 

Adam Levine may guest star on Glee. He says, "I've talked to Ryan [Murphy] a lot about it. I'm doing his other show now. It's the super dark, non-musical version of Glee: American Horror Story. We've had multiple conversations about it in the past, trying to find the right thing for it, so hopefully one day!"

 

Kelly Clarkson is a One Direction fan. She says, 'When Simon Cowell put me forward to write for One Direction I said: 'Let me hear them first.' Simon has been really supportive since I won American Idol. Tell Me a Lie is the cut I've got on 1D's album [Up All Night], as I like the story of them, how they came together as a group.
