7 Best Things About Your Kid's Texting Addiction from thestir.com

1. You don't have to listen those endless one-sided gab-fests punctuated with eardrum-piercingly loud exclamations. (He said WHAT?! Shut up!! SERIOUSLY?!)

2. Everything your kid and her friends tell each other is on record. Not that you'd ever read her texts or anything. You'd never in a million years invade her privacy like that! Ahem.

3. Less brain tumor-inducing radiation straight to your kid's head.

4. Improved digital dexterity from constant finger exercise will pay off in piano/flute/etc. lessons!

5. Texting your kid reminders ("Don't forget to study for tomorrow's test!") is the easiest, most passive-aggressive form of parental nagging ever.

6. Instant access to photographic evidence whenever you need a back-up: But I swear I unloaded the dishwasher before I left the house! Oh yeah? Not according to this pic!

7. No need to yell when you need your kid to come from another part of the house: Time 4 dinner.

Men In Blue Looking For Man In Blue: The Gloucestershire, England police are looking for a Smurf. A police spokesman says, "One witness told police the man was dressed in a blue skin-tight outfit, had blue paint on his face and looked 'like a smurf'. He has been seen waving at women and doing star-jumps while running up to them."

Michael Fassbender based his Prometheus character on a Blade Runner character. He says, "I made a decision not to watch the Alien movies. I watched Blade Runner and I looked at the replicants. I looked at Sean Young. There was something in her character, a quality there that I kind of liked."

Tom Cruise's butt plays a big role in Rock of Ages. Rock of Ages director Adam Shankman says, "The first time you see Tom in the movie is when he gets up wearing chaps so you can see everything from behind. He saw what we were doing and asked, 'Is there any other way we can do this?' I was like, 'No, not really.' So Tom asked me to check what he looked like from behind and I was like, 'It looks great!' And Tom just went, 'Okay, let's shoot it!'"

The Rock of Ages cast laughed at Tom Cruise when they went bowling. A source tells the Daily Star, “They were all laughing at him as he couldn’t knock down any pins. His ball kept rolling down the gutter. He was throwing the ball harder and faster but still getting nowhere. It was hilarious.”

Angelina Jolie recently told George Clooney not to play any practical jokes at her wedding. A source tells the National Enquirer, "Angelina doesn’t want any practical jokes played at the wedding and she’s not kidding. Angelina herself personally gave George a phone call and warned him that she’s in fact very serious about this. George understood her message very well, especially when Brad also phoned him and made George promise to call a truce on their special day."

I'm kind of diving into late-night debates, like 'What are we going to have for lighting?' and, 'What's the set list going to look like?' And styling... It's just a fun sort of brainstorming time to get creative, now that we certainly have the resources to put together the show of my dreams."

Katy Perry is getting her own comic book that will chronicle her rise to fame.

Liam Hemsworth's values won over the Cyrus family. A source says, "He apparently has quietly worked on Miley's dad for a number of months, making him realize this is something the couple takes very seriously. Underneath it all, Liam is a very solid guy with good, old-fashioned values. At the end of the day, I think that's won over Billy Ray. Billy Ray has always been super-protective of Miley. While he's become very fond of Liam - as has the entire family - Billy Ray was just worried about Miley still being a teenager On top of that, there's the whole entertainment world thing, where so many young stars get married young, and then it falls apart fairly quickly. John Mayer and Taylor Swift partied separately at West Hollywood’s Tower Bar on Tuesday. A source says, “Taylor very visibly — in front of the entire restaurant — demanded to be moved to the other side.
