Warner Brothers says, “Out of respect for the victims and their families. Warner Bros. Pictures will not be reporting box office numbers for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ throughout the weekend. Box office numbers will be released on Monday.”

The Dark Knight Rises earned $75 million on Friday. It's weekend take is estimated at $162 million.

DARK KNIGHT RISES  PARIS PREMIERE CANCELLED FOLLOWING COLORADO MASSACRE

Just hours after Friday’s massacre at a Dark Knight Rises screening in Colorado, Warner Bros announced they had cancelled that evening’s Paris premiere.    “Warner Bros. is deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident,” read a statement from the studio. “We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this tragic time.” All planned interviews with director Christopher Nolan, and the film’s stars were also cancelled. The studio also decided to pull a trailer for The Gangster Squad, which was set to run before the film. The trailer featured a scene in which gangsters shoot people in a movie theater from behind the screen.  Friday’s massacre, in which 12 people died and 58 others were injured,  also prompted many theaters across the country to increase security at Dark Knight Rises screenings. Several theaters decided to prohibit anyone from wearing costumes, or face concealing masks to screenings. In addition, Warner Bros. reportedly pulled any Dark Knight Rises commercials featuring images of guns. They also decided not to release box office figures for the film on Sunday out of respect for the lives that were lost.

DARK KNIGHT RISES DIRECTOR AND STARS RELEASE STATEMENTS REGARDING FRIDAY'S TRAGEDY

On Friday afternoon, Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan released a statement regarding the Colorado tragedy that took place during the screening of his film.  "Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of 'The Dark Knight Rises', I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community,” read the statement. “ I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime.   The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me. “ Finally, said Nolan, “ Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families."

The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale also released a statement regarding Friday’s tragedy. "Words cannot express the horror that I feel," Bale, 38, said in a statement via MTV News. "I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."

Co-star Anne Hathaway added in a statement to Gossip Cop, “My heart aches and breaks for the lives taken and altered by this unfathomably senseless act. I am at a loss for words how to express my sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”

KATHERINE JACKSON REPORTED MISSING!

Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson was reported missing Saturday by her nephew Trent Jackson. According to reports, Katherine, 82,  traveled to Albuquerque, NM on July 15^th with daughter Rebbie for a Jackson brothers concert, but Trent, as well as Michael Jackson’s three kids, have not heard from her since. In fact, Michael’s daughter Paris tweeted Sunday, "Yes, my grandmother is missing. I haven't spoken with her in a week [and] I want her home now." "The kids were trying to get a hold of their grandmother and they haven't been able to reach her for almost a week," Katherine’s lawyer Sandra Ribera told CNN. "They are told she's unavailable . . . I'm concerned that she's not safe" Ribera added that Katherine "has never gone 24 hours without talking to her kids." But Katherine’s son Jermaine Jackson insists nothing is wrong with his mother and that she is in currently in Arizona.  "I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the orders of a doctor, not us," he tweeted. "This is our mother and her health is paramount. We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctors advice. Period."

Last week it was reported that several members of the Jackson family had written a letter claiming Michael Jackson’s will was forged in an attempt to get the executors of Michael’s estate removed. According to TMZ, Randy and Jermaine Jackson are the driving forces behind the move because they’re broke and are doing anything possible to get their hands on Michael’s money. In the letter, they claim their mother Katherine suffered a stroke, which she has denied. Sources say Randy and Jermaine are trying to prove Katherine is infirm so they will be able to get themselves appointed her conservator, which means they’d have access to the $70,000-a-month she gets from Michael’s estate.  (If Katherine dies, Michael’s money goes into a trust for his kids.)

STALLONE’S SON LAID TO REST

Slyvester Stallone’s son Sage was laid to rest Saturday morning after a funeral at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Brentwood, CA. In lieu of flowers, Sly and Sage’s mother Sasha Czack asked mourners to make a donation to the charity Autism Speaks. (Sage’s younger brother Seargeoh is autistic.) Sage’s body was found July 13^th in his apartment in Los Angeles. So far a cause of death is not known.

Producers of American Idol are struggling to do something new now that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have quit.  Names like Mariah Carey, Charlie Sheen, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj are said to be in the running to replace the departing stars, but Idol is also looking to shake things up in areas other than the judging table.  According to Radaronline, producers have been talking to former contestants like Taylor Hicks, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Clay Aiken about coming back “to participate in some way.” Said the insider, “They wouldn’t necessarily be in judging positions, but the show wants them involved.”

USHER’S STEPSON DIES

Usher’s 11-year-old former stepson Kyle Glover died Saturday after being taken of life support. Kyle, son of Usher’s ex Tameka Foster,  was struck in the head by a personal watercraft at Lake Lanier in Georgia earlier this month.

ROGEN’S WIFE TAKES OUT RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST STALKER!

Seth Rogen’s wife obtained a restraining order last week against an “unstable” stalker who claims to follow “voices” in his head. Lauren Miller, who married Rogen last October, claims that earlier this month, a 31-year-old man named Yasin Ajani tried to get the family maid to let him into the couple’s LA home. He told the maid he was a friend of the pair and had a package to deliver to them. The maid refused to let Ajani in, so he hopped a fence and laid down on a couch in the couple’s front yard.  When cops arrested him for criminal trespass he told them “voices told me to go see and talk with Lauren.”  A judge has ordered Ajani to stay at least 200 yards away from both Seth and Lauren. He is due back in court August 10^th.

● Direct TV subscribers can finally watch MTV again. The cable provider Friday settled a two week dispute with Viacom, which prompted Direct TV to pull channels like MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Nickelodeon from approximately 20 million homes. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

● Fast Times at Ridgemont High star Jennifer Jason Leigh is joining the cast of ABC’s Revenge, where she’ll play Emily’s (Emily VanCamp) presumed dead mother.  The second season of Revenge premieres Wednesday, September 21^st at 10 pm.

Pine is the fourth actor to play Ryan on film.
