Fine Mess: Dark Knight fans are threatening to kill film critic Marshall Fine for publishing a negative review of The Dark Knight Rises on Rotten Tomatoes. The third Batman film in Nolan’s trilogy is also the weakest.” One fan threatened to burn Fine while another wanted to beat him with a hose.
R.I.P.: Sage Stallone was taking painkillers before his death because he had 5 teeth removed in early July. His mom, Sasha, says, “I told him not to do that. I felt like a kiss was something very special and I wanted to save that. We were both in the same political science class. I saw him from across the room and I was really attracted to him and then one morning I was coming from my Arabic class and I had a box of donuts and I saw him sitting on a bench so I offered him some donuts. Chris is extremely involved in the planning process. We Skype like crazy. We email links back and forth of wedding venues and photographers.” |

Steven says, “This was the biggest catch of my life. She just looked shocked. There were all these kids yelling, ‘The little girl! The little girl!’ I saw a little girl standing on the air conditioner. I said to myself, ‘Let me get over to her in time.’ I made it just in time.”

The Batman suit:
- The Batsuit in The Dark Knight Rises is unchanged from the design used in The Dark Knight.
- It is comprised of 110 separate pieces.
- Semi-flexible Urethane-molded pieces are all suspended on a polyester mesh called 3D spacer mesh, which is sold to the military, medical and hi-tech sports manufacturers as a neoprene replacement as it is very breathable. It is knitted and not woven.
- Carbon fiber panels-strong, light and incredibly resistant-can be found inside a number of the Urethane-molded pieces around the suit's legs, chest and abs for added protection.
- Production created 50 capes in total, varying in length, shape and size to reflect different functions such as trailing, walking, action/fighting and mechanical.
- The cape is made from a fabric which is electro-statically flocked, taking advantage of a process used by the UK's Ministry of Defence when minimum night vision detection is required.
- The Special Effects department has invented a brand new type of silent, directional wind machine for use in creating the billowing cape image inspired by iconic comic book illustrations.
- The weight of the suit, cowl and cape together is about 14 kilograms.
The Catsuit:
- 20 costumes were made for cat-burglar Selina Kyle.
- There are two pieces to each suit for practical reasons, with the belt positioned to give it the look of a one-piece Catsuit.
- The suit is made up of a utility belt, elbow length gloves, thigh length boots, and goggles. Costume designer Lindy Hemming designed the goggles to look like cat ears when flipped up.
- There are seven different boots with varying height heels for action such as running and riding the Batpod, but the 'hero boot' has a high-blade heel for fighting and slashing.
- The suit is made of embossed carbon fiber laminate. It is made up of two layers, the outer one being polyurethane-coated spandex with the texture of a carbon fiber hexagonal weave.
Bane's Costume
- Seven costumes in total were created for Bane, comprised of combat boots, combat pants and body armor. The costume is made up of natural materials and fashioned with scavenged bits and pieces.
- Bane's mask is made out of ABS polymer, which was built by the Costume Effects department using a 3-D printer
Christian Bale's daughter loves his Batman voice. He says, ''It's a kick for her and her friends when I do the Batman voice for them and chase them around pretending to be Batman. She's not really old enough to watch any of the movies so she hasn't seen them yet. But she's seen some pictures, she'd come and visit the set.''
Antonio Banderas is trying to save his marriage to Melanie Griffith. A source tells RADAR Online he may have strayed. “Antonio has been desperately trying to win Melanie’s trust back. He has been doing everything in his power to revive the romance -- flowers, sweet-talking on the phone, and extravagant gifts -- because he realizes that she is close to her breaking point. She is playing hard to get. She has always known how to keep him on his toes and it wasn’t a coincidence that the cameras caught her with her wedding ring off! Ultimately she will probably stay with him but not before making him squirm.”
Suri Cruise won't be wearing makeup or high heels anymore. A source tells Female First magazine, “Katie has been returning unsolicited gifts and loans from designers for Suri since she arrived in New York – which is to be her home base now, far away from Tom. She’s issued instructions to remove Suri from all freebie lists. She’s also put the word out in LA to stop any mini-me diva products being sent her way. All that inappropriate dress up and make-up was down to Tom and Katie’s key word now when it comes to Suri is ‘normal’. Tom loved to spoil Suri and indulge her, but Katie has other ideas.”
Tom and Suri spent time together yesterday in New York. He took her to gymnastics practice.
Charlie Sheen is interested in judging American Idol. He says, "It seems so out of the blue that it almost made perfect sense. I thought this could be a lot of fun. Seriously ... I'm genuinely interested. It's so different, it could be radical."
Adam Levine isn't ready for kids. He says, ''I think I've got a few years before a family happens, if I'm honest. 'It's going to happen, inevitably. I love kids and I want a family but I wouldn't be able to be a very good father right now so I'm going to wait until I can be. I'll slow it down when I have a family. I'm 33 but I'm still a baby in a lot of ways, the way that I act especially.''
Russell Brand is dating Jordana Brewster's younger sister, Isabella. She looks like Katy Perry's twin.
Steven Tyler did American Idol so people could see he is more than just a rocker. He says, "With Idol, I watch it back and there is a piece of me, but they don't know what I really do or who I really am. I took Idol for people to see my personality. I had doors slammed in my face or I get accepted. I am Italian, or as Joe says, an excitable child. I have this banter, where I am making a royal fool of myself and everyone is loving it. But they don't know the real job.''
Elton John no longer parties. He says, ''If I ever find myself in a situation where there are drugs, I can smell the cocaine. I can feel it in the back of my throat, that horrible feeling of taking the first hit of cocaine. And I leave.'' |
