Grey Area: Teens are beginning to read Fifty Shades of Grey. One anonymously told the NY Post, ''Being in a Jewish private school, no one would ever be caught dead with it.'' Some bookstores are placing warning labels on the book.

Batmobile Facts from Top Gear

- Director Christopher Nolan and production designer Nathan Crowley designed the Batmobile in a garage in Los Angeles. They took inspiration from military vehicles, and built a prototype by sticking together toy cars, eventually combining a Hummer and a Lamborghini.

- There are three different types of customized camouflage ‘Tumbler', one with a swivelling turret gun, another with a guided missile launcher and a third with a gun.

- The ‘Tumbler' name comes from its military history due to its ability to jump and tumble.

- The car has no front axle - director Nolan wanted the wheels to be held from the side. This presumably makes the handling rather interesting...

- The Batmobile was built entirely from scratch - it's not based on any existing car underneath.

- The six wheels used monster truck tyres with varying amounts of tread so that stunt driver George Cottle could decide how much skid power he required at any one time.

- It runs on regular unleaded and weighs two-and-a-half tonnes.

- The ‘Tumbler' has jumped a distance of 60 feet, can do 0-60mph in five seconds and tops out at 105mph.- The Batpod - Batman's ‘bike' - is equipped with three guns on each side: a blast cannon, a grappling gun and a machine gun.

- The tyres on the Batpod are identical to those on the Batmobile.

- It weighs 730 lbs and is a self-righting bike, which means it doesn't need a foot stand.

- The ‘Bat' is part helicopter, part jump jet, designed by Nolan and Nathan Crowley and built off a miniature.

- Every single panel of the the ‘Bat' is bespoke and was sculpted out of lightweight carbon fibre - which means it weighs 3 000 lbs.

- Technically, the ‘Bat' can't actually fly - though it will in the film thanks to effects - but it does have working guns and cannons that fire pyrotechnics, and all the lights are radio-controlled to change angle mid-air.

- The ‘Bat' is attached to a special support vehicle that needs three people to operate it: one to move it up and down, one to move it side to side, and one to drive it.

- Oh, and one last thing - did you know that Murcielago (the Lamborghini model he drove in The Dark Knight) translates as ‘bat' in Spanish? We didn't, but now we do.

SLY PLEADS FOR COMPASSION!

Sylvester Stallone is pleading with the press to stop speculating about the circumstances surrounding the death of his son Sage, whose body was found Friday at his LA home. "When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain," said Sly. "Therefore, I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha." He added, "This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives... Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace." Meanwhile, Sage’s lawyer George Braunstein claimed Sunday the 36-year-old “was in good health, great spirits,” the last time he talked to him, and was planning on marrying his girlfriend, whose identity was not released.

SLY’S NEPHEW BLAMES HIM FOR SAGE’S DEPRESSION!

Meanwhile, Sly’s nephew Edd Filiti ranted on Facebook Friday that Sage was depressed because the First Blood star had cut the 36-year-old out of his life.  Edd, the 18-year-old son of Stallone’s half-sister Toni Ann, claimed Sly didn’t even return Sage’s happy birthday call to the actor.  “What did he do wrong, say happy birthday,” Edd wrote on the Facebook page belonging to Sly’s wife Jennifer Flavin. “Neither you or he could return a phone call, which is all he wanted, his father. I know you don’t care what happened, but you’ll care when your (sp) squirming under the burning magnifying glass of public opinion.” He added, “You people make me f**kin sick.” The post has since been taken down.  Sources tell Celebuzz that Sly and Sage had recently been estranged, which  left Sage devastated. Said the insider, “It crushed him.”

MICHAEL LOHAN PROCREATING AGAIN?

Lindsay Lohan is getting a new sibling. TMZ reports that Lindsay’s dad Michael and his on-again/off again girlfriend Kate Major are expecting a baby.  Kate is said to be in her first trimester, which interestingly means Michael violated a restraining order when they conceived the child. According to TMZ, the restraining order Kate took out against Michael was only lifted a few weeks ago.  Radaronline reported back in April that Michael had accused Kate of scheming to get pregnant.  Linds is said to be upset by the news, especially because it directly affects her mother Dina, who has been trying to get child support from deadbeat Michael for years. Lindsay is also said to be disappointed Michael hasn’t called her himself to tell her the news.

LINDSAY JUDGES DISCIPLINED FOR HOW THEY HANDLED HER CASE!

And speaking of Lindsay, two judges who handled her DUI case were disciplined by the California Commission on Judicial Performance. According to the Los Angeles Times, the panel said Judge Marsha Revel should not have met alone with attorney Robert Shapiro who wanted to take over Lindsay’s case. In addition, Judge Elden Fox was wrong when he denied Lindsay bail on a minor charge and refused to hear arguments from her attorney. Both received “advisory letters” which one judicial expert said is the equivalent to a “wrist slap.”

SHEEN MAKES HUGE DONATION TO THE U.S.O.!

Charlie Sheen is donating a large sum of money to the troops. TMZ reports the actor has announced he’ll donate 1% of his profits from his FX series Anger Management, with a minimum of $1 million, to the U.S.O. (United Service Org.), the largest single contribution the organization has ever received from an individual. "It’s an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us,” said Sheen in a statement., "They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I’m just happy that my work on Anger Management can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.”

DEMI’S KIDS CONSIDERING RESTRAINING ORDER!

Just how bad is the rift between Demi Moore and her three daughters? Radaronline reports that Rumer, Scout and Tallulah may take out a restraining order against their mother to prevent her from contacting them.  "They made it clear to her weeks ago that they do not want to talk to her right now but she is still trying to contact them,” claims a source. “Demi has been calling them incessantly and emailing them, leaving them tearful messages and begging them to call her and the girls are sick of it. It is a really drastic measure and not something they are considering lightly but they just feel like they want some peace and quiet."

UMA WELCOMES A DAUGHTER!

Uma Thurman is a mom again. Us Weekly reports the 42-year-old actress and boyfriend Arpad Busson welcomed a daughter on Sunday. A name for the tot has not been released. This is the third child for Uma. She and ex-husband Ethan Hawke are parents to 13-year-old Maya and 10-year-old Levon.  Arpad has two sons from his relationship with model Elle Macpherson, Flynn, 15 and Cy, 9. OCTOMOM STRIPPING PICTURES!

Octomom Nadya Suleman had her first stripping gig over the weekend in Florida and, unfortunately for everyone, pictures of the show hit the internet. Nadya was paid $5,000 to gyrate on stage at The Playhouse Gentleman’s Club in Miami on Friday, and did so in a sexy school girl costume, as well as a black leather corset with fishnet stockings. Not surprisingly, she didn’t get the best reviews. “She was really stiff. Oh my God, she can’t dance,” a fellow stripper told the Miami Herald. But the stripper was happy about Nadya’s appearance because she brought in more customers. Said the stripper, “We’re going to get extra tips.”

PERRY & BRAND DIVORCE FINAL!

Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s marriage is officially over. E! reports the couple’s divorce became final yesterday, putting an end to their 14-month union.  The pair reached a divorce agreement in February, but per California law, had to wait six months before the documents became final.

As soon as Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez said goodbye to American Idol, the rumor mill claimed Mariah Carey was in talks to replace them. But producers of the Fox hit are going to have to break out their checkbooks if they want the superstar on the judging panel.  TMZ caught Mariah’s husband Nick Cannon out in LA and asked him whether his wife was interested in the job and he replied, “I don’t know if they could afford Mariah Carey. That’s a lot of money. If they give J.Lo $20 million, they might have to double that.”

Earlier this year, Beyonce posted a letter she sent to Michelle Obama on her blog, which talked about the respect she had for the First Lady. Now that note has become part of President Obama’s re-election campaign. Beyonce reads the letter aloud in a new video released by the campaign on Monday. "Michelle Obama is the ultimate example of a truly strong African-American woman," the 30-year-old says, adding, "I am in awe of [the First Lady]."

BACHELORETTE REJECT FINDS LOVE ON BACHELOR PAD!

Gossip Cop reports that Kalon McMahon, the Bachelorette contestant kicked out by Emily Maynard earlier this season for calling her daughter Ricki “baggage,” is dating Lindzi Cox, the runner-up from Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor. Both Kalon and Lindzi are participating in ABC’s Bachelor Pad, which premieres Monday, July 23^rd.

NOLAN DELAYED DARK KNIGHT RISES FOR COTILLARD!

Just how badly did director Christopher Nolan want Oscar winner Marion Cotillard in TheDark Knight Rises? In the August issue of Vogue, Nolan reveals he delayed production on the Batman flick because Marion was due with her first child around the time the movie was set to begin shooting. When Nolan was informed of the pregnancy he said he wanted to “figure it out,” and pushed most of Marion’s scenes back a month. He also made room for her family on the Dark Knight Rises set.  Nolan said her ability to jump back to work so soon after the birth of son Marcel was “amazing to see,” describing her as “Superwoman.” The Dark Knight Rises opens Friday.
