Billy Crystal stars in Funny or Die Oscar Trailer

The new trailer for next month's Oscar show is classic Billy Crystal.

The Academy Awards produced it in conjunction with Funny Or Die and it will begin appearing in 2,000 movie theaters today. Along with Crystal, who on Feb. 26 will host the show for the ninth time, the trailer features appearances by Robin Williams, Josh Duhamel, Megan Fox, William Fichtner and Vinnie Jones.

"We wanted to try something a little bit different this year instead of a traditional, clip-based piece," says Academy marketing chief Christina Kounelias. "The trailer has a fun twist that conveys how excited everyone is to have Billy back."

But when you get $100 million in your divorce, you can trump just about anything and that's what happened with Tiger Woods' ex-wife when she bought a $12 million home and bulldozed the whole thing.

Yes, according to TMZ, Elin Nordegren bought a $12 million home in North Palm Beach, Fla., but didn't like it, and has plowed the whole thing.

The house, which had six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, is now just rubble, with no word yet on what is going to replace the beautiful building you see above, but I guess when you have nine figures in the bank, it doesn't really matter what you want.

Michael Phelps splits with former Miss California

Olympic legend Michael Phelps has split with his longtime girlfriend, former Miss California Nicole Johnson.  According to Page Six, Phelps called it off before the new year and has begun telling friends he's single. The pair had dated on-and-off for a number of years. Johnson traveled with Phelps to numerous events, including the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, where Phelps won four gold medals.

Since his record-setting performance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Phelps has stayed in the headlines as much for his relationships than his athletic achievements. He's been linked to cocktail waitresses, socialite reality stars and Canadian graduate students. Some of those reports were sketchy, at best, and dubious, at worst.

Phelps recently began training for his Olympic swansong in London. The 26-year-old has repeatedly said the 2012 Summer Games will be his final Olympics. He is expected to try and qualify for seven events for the upcoming Games, one less than swam in Beijing.

Could season 11 be the last for Ryan Seacrest on ‘Idol’?

Ryan Seacrest, with blond tips and Brian Dunkleman in tow, launched “American Idol” nearly ten years ago. Entering season 11, a much wealthier, darker-haired Seacrest is about to hit a crossroads.

His three-year, $45 million contract expires after this season. Is Seacrest ready to truly say, “Seacrest out?”

Hollywood Reporter speculates that given the show’s declining ratings trajectory (season 10 notwithstanding), he may have to take a pay cut to stick around. Simon Fuller, who was a big ally of Seacrest, the story noted, is no longer involved. Producers could pay a replacement significantly less, of course, than $15 million.

But for Seacrest, given what else he has on his plate and what else he could do, what more does he have to prove on “Idol”? Leaving for him would hardly be a tragedy. And “Idol” survived the departure of Simon Cowell. Nobody is sacred.

At the same time, Steve Jones’ abysmal performance on “X Factor” highlighted how good Seacrest can be. Great hosts are hard to find.

Given his ties to NBCUniversal, Seacrest could end up at “The Today Show” as a Matt Lauer replacement and is already set to contribute during the 9 a.m. hour.
