Rachel Weisz L'Oréal Ad Banned in Britain

For a local girl, Rachel Weisz sure just got the cold shoulder in London.

L'Oréal Paris became the latest cosmetics company to run afoul of the United Kingdom's Advertising Standards Authority, which deemed a print ad for Revitalift Clinical Repair 10 featuring the Oscar winner to be, well...not fit for print!

Is it that racy?

No, the L'Oréal ad didn't get banned for the same reasons that highly stylized fragrance ads featuring Dakota Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld were outlawed. (Too provocative and supposedly romanticizing suicide, respectively.)

Instead, it was banned for the same reason that Lancôme ads starring Julia Roberts and Christy Turlington were nixed! Weisz is beautiful, for sure, but the ASA just couldn't get behind the 41-year-old's smooth-as-a-baby's-bottom visage in ruling that the advertisement "misleadingly exaggerated" the product's promised effect.

Kristen Stewart Flips the Bird on Paris Fashion Shoot—Faux Pas or Super Awesome?!

Sacré bleu, part two! And this time our shock has nothing to do with haute couture.

As we're sure you already know (judging by how many of you gushed over our exclusive pics), Kristen Stewart jet-setted to Paris to take part in a glitzy Vanity Fair shoot. And there was more to her trip than just horsing around in feathery dresses.

She also got all dolled up with notorious designer Karl Lagerfeld! Oh yeah, and gave someone the one-finger salute. So what's up with K.Stew's tres fashionable middle finger flingin'?

Her latest eyebrow-raising stunt is hardly shocking for anyone that knows Ms. Stewart. Heck, the Twilight babe is practically famous for flipping the bird when the papz are watching. This time, K.Stew was all dolled up in a frilly black dress, swapping out her crazy hat from earlier in the day for a star-shaped hair accessory (apparently all for additional VF photos) when she playfully threw her middle finger in the air.

Just peep the pic! With that lip-biting smile, she's clearly not too pissed at whoever is on the receiving end of that finger. Though we can't say the same for steely Karl Lagerfeld (homeboy looks peeved!).  And, to be honest, this is one of the exact reasons we love Kristen so much!

After surgery, Adele to perform at the Grammys

NEW YORK (AP) — Adele is nominated for six Grammys, and she'll be on deck to collect anything she wins: The 23-year-old singer is set to perform at the awards show.

Adele had surgery on her vocal cords last year, and the Grammys will be the first time she has performed live in five months, The Recording Academy announced Tuesday.  Her sophomore album, "21," has sold more than 6 million copies in the U.S. It is nominated for album of the year and best pop vocal album. The CD has three singles that have hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart, including "Rolling in the Deep," which is up for record and song of the year.

The Grammys will air live Feb. 12 on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

First lady pushes Jay Leno to eat healthy hoods

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) — Jay ate the veggies.

First lady Michelle Obama cajoled Jay Leno into nibbling on apples, sweet potato fries and a pizza made with eggplant, green peppers and zucchini on the "Tonight Show," breaking his long-held aversion for all-things-healthy in his diet.

Leno once told a magazine he hadn't eaten a vegetable since 1969, and he insisted he tasted his last apple in 1984. That didn't dissuade the first lady, who's promoting her "Let's Move!" campaign to get kids excited about fitness and healthy eating habits.

Earlier, Obama poked at him in a Twitter post, hinting she'd "get Jay to eat some veggies" on the NBC show. He did.

"That does smell very good. I assume this is sausage-pepperoni," the comedian quipped as he eyed the pizza made with a whole-wheat crust. She convinced Leno to dip an apple in honey made from beehives in the White House garden: "It will help it go down easier," she assured him. "White House honey? That sounds bad," Leno told her. "You know, with a different president that could mean a whole different thing, 'a little White House honey.'"

The first lady is on a two-day swing through California where she'll promote her initiative while attending two events to help Democrats raise money for the upcoming elections. She told Leno she's not doing anything special to prepare for what's expected to be a tough re-election campaign for her husband, President Barack Obama.

"You know, there's really no way to mentally prepare for it. You take each day as it comes," she said.

Smithsonian honors Eastwood, opens theater on mall

WASHINGTON — The Smithsonian Institution is honoring Clint Eastwood for his six decades of work in American film, and the actor and director is cutting the ribbon to open a new theater to showcase film at the National Museum of American History.

On Wednesday, Eastwood will visit the museum to help dedicate the new Warner Bros. Theater as a new space to present the history of Hollywood. Warner Bros. Entertainment donated $5 million in 2010 to renovate the old Carmichael Auditorium into a modern theater with 3D projection capability.

On Friday, the museum will open a three-day film festival to highlight the work of Humphrey Bogart with free screenings of "Casablanca," ''The Maltese Falcon" and other films. The 81-year-old Eastwood will be awarded the James Smithson Bicentennial Medal for his distinguished contributions.
