Kate Middleton Nurse Tragedy Update: On Friday, Jacintha Saldanha, the nurse, who was prank-called by two Aussie DJs about Kate Middleton's condition, killed herself. DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian spoke yesterday. Mel said, "It was the worst phone call I have ever had in my life. I remember my first question was 'was she a mother?' There is not a minute that goes by that we don't think of the family and the thought that we may have played a part in it is gut wrenching. We thought a hundred people before us would've tried it. We thought it was such a silly idea and the accents were terrible and not for a second did we expect to speak to Kate, let alone have a conversation with anyone at the hospital. We wanted to be hung up on.''
Michael said, "We would never have expected or foreseen what was going to happen. We didn't think that it would have had that outcome. The set of circumstances could never have been predicted. On every single point it was innocent on our behalf."
2Day DJ Spokesman Sandy Kaye says, “The backlash is just ferocious. Australia seems to be much more balanced. In the UK it’s like they’re on a witch hunt. It’s intense and what’s incredible to me is it’s so much easier for the British media to have us as the target. They haven’t once looked at the hospital.’’
2Day fired Mel and Michael and says it has taken the following action:
- The suspension of all advertising on 2Day FM until further notice
- The termination of 2Day FM’s Hot 30 show
- A Company-wide suspension of “prank” calls
- A comprehensive review of relevant company policies and processes

You Light Up My Life: John and Danielle Copeland's Palm City, Florida home is adorned with 100,000 holiday lights. She says they buy their lights the day after Christmas. "We work on it during the summer, so it can take 10, 20 hours a song and that's only three minutes. So I think we have about six or seven songs this year."
Have Your Cake And Eat It Too: The government is once again discouraging passengers from flying with fruitcakes. They say the holiday cakes are being banned on most commercial flights not because of their taste, but because they are thick and could hide a weapon. Officials also claim some X-ray machines have problems seeing through fruitcakes.

7 Secret Fast Food Items Revealed
1. Starbucks: Short
Starbucks has a multitude of things that don’t appear on their menu, from a cake batter Frappuccino (vanilla Frappuccino with both vanilla and almond flavoring) to a “green eye” (a coffee with three shots of espresso). And while their standard sizes are venti, grande, and tall, you can also order a short – an 8 ounce option. A short cappuccino holds the same amount of espresso as a tall, but it’s stronger. You can get a short latte or regular coffee too. If that’s not enough of a jolt for you, order a double shot of espresso, iced, and throw in some brown sugar. Also known as a “cheapo.”
2. Chipotle: Quesadillas
One item not found on the Chipotle menu is the quesadilla – but they’ll make it for you. It’s a large tortilla filled with cheese, chicken, steak, or anything else you want inside. One review said it costs them less than $5 for their meal – lower than even the veggie menu options. You can also order a taco salad or nachos, but the meals and chips are charged separately.
3. In-N-Out: Protein Style
This west coast chain has their “not-so-secret” menu on their website, so it’s not well hidden. Included are “animal style” (a mustard-grilled burger with extra spread) and “protein-style” (your burger is wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun). And if you want to skip the meat, you can order something else not on the menu: a grilled cheese.
4. Burger King: BLT
Don’t limit yourself to burgers at BK. If they’ve got the ingredients, odds are they’ll make it. For example, try a simple bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. You can probably even make it a meal with fries and a drink.
5. McDonald’s: All American
Remember the days a burger consisted of a patty, pickles, and ketchup? McDonald’s does. Order it “All American” and you’ll revisit the days when the condiments didn’t take over your burger.
6. Shake Shack: The Shandy
While Arnold Palmer may have gotten dibs on the half iced tea/half lemonade concoction, that doesn’t mean we all aren’t trying to make our name famous with drinks. The Shandy is half lemonade, half beer.
7. Popeye’s: Naked Chicken
If you love Popeye’s chicken, but not their calorie count, you can get the taste without the breading. Simply ask for your chicken ‘naked.’
Here Comes Santa Claus
A survey by Auntie Anne's Pretzels reveals that 60% of mall Santas get sneezed on or coughed on at least 10 times a day. 30% of mall Santas say more than 100 children line up to visit them every day.

A new survey by Ashley Madison reveals that 50% of employees have passionately kissed their boss or a colleague at their office Christmas party. Other findings:
- 33% of workers have had drunk sex with a colleague on the night of their office Christmas party
- 52% of women and 44% of men have had an affair with a work colleague
- 57% of women and 59% of men avoid a tryst with a co-worker in fear of formal discipline or office politics.

Meggings: New York men are now wearing male leggings. Celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Russell Brand and Lenny Kravitz have all been spotted wearing leggings, while stores Uniqlo, Barneys and Nordstrom are selling tights for men. New Yorker Mark Dorosz says, “Male tights are so much more comfortable than skinny jeans. I’ve always had good legs and it’s nice to show them off all year round. There are so many people wearing exotic clothes in New York that nobody cares about a man wearing leggings if it works for him. Perhaps people will be laughing around this in 12 months’ time but for now they come up to me and say, 'You look awesome.’”
Name Game: Florida entrepreneur Jason Sadler is auctioning off his last name for 2013. Lindsay Lohan is blowing off court on Wednesday to follow her boyfriend, Max George on tour with The Wanted. E! claims she is not required to appear because the charges pending against her, willingly resisting, obstructing, or delaying an officer in the course of their duties; providing false information to an officer; and reckless driving, are misdemeanors. Lindsay's attorney, Shawn Holley, will be there to represent her. The charges stem from her June 8th wreck on Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway.
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce trial has been set for February 2013. A source tells Hollywoodlife.com, “Kim and Kris are both stubborn and they won’t end it because they both want to prove their point. Kris feels he was scammed by Kim for the purpose of ratings for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. And Kim is sticking to her guns, claiming the marriage was real — she just married the wrong guy. Unfortunately for Kim, a settlement is no longer possible because of how much has gone on.''

**UPDATE**

Samuel L. Jackson wants to be in Star Wars: Episode VII. He says, "I'm not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more Star Wars. It's like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I'm dead and we'll find out what happened to Mace Windu. I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that's still around that didn't actually die. I could do that or be a ghost hologram. I don't care, I just want to stay associated with the franchise. I just always loved it. I always loved the idea of it, that there's this whole civilization out there somewhere else that's just as much fun and different and diverse and wild as we are."
Taylor Swift fears stalkers. She says, ''I get nervous when I have stalker incidents. I try not to talk too much about it because it scares me. Sometimes you get a dude who kind of wants to steal you. That's why I'm so grateful I have people looking after me, like Dennis [bodyguard]. Over the past couple of years it's got worse. I get told if there's been an attempt or a threat. My security text me a picture and say, 'Look out for this dude; he's driven across the country, he's off his meds,' or something like that. No one has ever been successful in getting into my house or anything like that. I have an amazing security team. There are a lot of them. I just try to be safe and be conscious of people around me. It's the same with paparazzi; it's something you just have to deal with. It's the price you pay for getting to do what you love. You can let it take over your life and make you fearful all the time, or you can live your life in spite of it.''
