Flipper Flips Out: Jillian Thomas was recently bitten by a dolphin at SeaWorld Orlando. The 8 year-old was holding a fish out when the dolphin bit her arm. Her father videotaped the incident. He posted the video to his YouTube account, telling viewers: "We wanted to share this video so others can make an informed decision about whether or not the risks to yourself or your child are worth the experience." Jillian was left with three small puncture wounds.

Mistletoe Beats Cancer

Mistletoe may help beat colon cancer. Australian researcher Zahra Lotfollahi found a certain species of mistletoe, called fraxini, can effectively destroy cancer cells and is easier on healthy intestinal cells than chemotherapy. She says, "This might mean fraxini is a potential candidate for increased toxicity against cancer, while also reducing potential side effects. Scientists tested three types of mistletoe and found only fraxini had a reduced impact on healthy cells. This species contains a protein that targets and kills cancer cells. Fraxini mistletoe extract is "highly effective" at reducing viability of colon cancer cells and could sometimes increase the potency of chemo on cancer cells. This means it has the potential to be used alongside chemotherapy, or as a substitute.''

A new survey by the Very Important Pets Club reveals that 75% of pet-owners buy gifts for their four-legged friends. Other findings:

- 66% of pet owners spend more on a holiday gift for their pet than a partner

- the average pet owner spends $60 on a holiday gift for their pet.

The Grinch That Stole .. Santa's Wallet: Someone stole $348 from Santa's wallet. 77 year-old Buren Henson was working as a mall Santa at Lake Wales, Florida's Eagle Ridge Mall when someone stole the money from his regular clothes. The clothes were left in a locked storefront. Henson said that several people had access to that area, but he didn't want to see any of those people get fired or arrested this close to Christmas. He asked not to press charges and to have police make out an information report for his insurance claim.

Sexercise: New York personal trainer Kristen James has launched a workout video inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey. She tells viewers 'just remember how important it is to be very sexy and strong with your partner' as she demonstrates positions like the 'bend over better', 'sexy scissors' and 'seductive squat'. Deputy Joe Rozier says, "I observed a white male dressed in a gorilla suit acting as if he was going to jump into my lane of travel. I swerved into the left lane to avoid an accident with the person.”

John Travolta recently used Scientology to help a car crash victim. Celebuzz quotes him as saying, "I was in Shanghai recently at a work event and the Master of Ceremonies' best friend had recently gotten into a car wreck. He had broken his ankle and was in constant pain. I asked him permission to do some Scientology assists and he said, ‘Okay, sure'. "People were standing around watching as I did them. You could actually see him confronting the pain and after a while he looked up at me and said, ‘I feel better,' so I said ‘Okay, end of assist.'
