Lucky #13: The Dutch Centre for Insurance Statistics studied dates to see if Friday the 13th is really unlucky. Researchers concluded that the superstitious day is actually safer than an average Friday because fewer accidents and crime occur. Statistician Alex Hoen says he's still skeptical. "I find it hard to believe that it is because people are preventatively more careful or just stay home, but statistically speaking, driving is a little bit safer on Friday 13th."

Jackass: Barack Obama ripped Kanye West during an interview with Atlantic magazine. When asked about his hip hop preferences, the President said he listens to Jay-Z. He then said, "Kanye's a Chicago guy. Smart. He's very talented. He is a jackass. But he's talented.” Barack originally called Kanye a jackass in 2009.

Grin and Bear It: Film censors in China are editing the scene in Titanic 3D where Kate Winslet shows her breasts. The censors are worried moviegoers "may reach out for a touch". Kate is going to be shown from the neck up. A censor says, "Considering the vivid 3D effects, we fear that viewers may reach out their hands for a touch and thus interrupt other people's viewing. To avoid potential conflicts between viewers and out of consideration of building a harmonious ethical social environment, we've decided to cut off the nudity scenes."

The Whopper: The Washington Nationals have begun selling their Stephen 'StrasBurger'. The 8-pound burger costs $59 and features 8,000-10,000 calories, 600-700 grams of fat, 200-300 grams of saturated fat and 3,000 milligrams of sodium. The burger is served on a large bun with secret sauce, American cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced red onions, pickle chips and fresh cut fries.

In-Convenience Store: Trayvon Martin's killer, George Zimmerman, spent $79.84 at the Seminole County jail store yesterday. He bought playing cards, puzzle books, Jolly Rancher candy, socks, a debit card for phone calls, Ivory soap, underwear, beef sticks, t-shirts, deodorant, chocolate cookies, and one orange. The purchase left $41.36 on Zimmerman's account.

 Kayne West is taking Kim Kardashian on a $50,000 vacation to St Lucia. A five-man security team will guard their private bungalow. A source says a private chef will cook for them. “Kanye knows Kim is used to staying in luxury but wanted to top everything she’s experienced. Money is no object, he wants the best of everything. He’s planning some romantic evenings and is relying on his chef to knock out some amazing seafood dishes to get them in the mood.”

Beer Makes You Smarter

A new study by the University of Illinois at Chicago reveals that drinking beer makes you smarter. 40 men participated in a bar game in which they were given three words and then asked to complete the pattern with a fourth word. Half the subjects were given two pints of beer; while the other half were given nothing. Those, who drank beer solved 40% more of the problems, and completed their problems 3.5 seconds faster than their sober counterparts.

 Have No Fear

The Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute estimates that $800 to $900 million is lost every time a Friday the 13th occurs. They say most of the loss stems from travelers, who avoid doing business or flying on Friday the 13th. National Geographic says between 17 million and 21 million people in the U.S. suffer from a fear related to the day.

Marc Anthony and JLo's boyfriend, Casper Smart, had to be separated at a family function last month. A source tells NOW magazine, "Marc's at his wits' end. He thinks Casper's trying to replace him as a dad. When he saw him with the kids, Marc exploded. Marc calls Casper a money-grubbing punk. This is going to get extremely ugly."

 Morgan Freeman says he is not dating his step-granddaughter, E'Dena Hines. "The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media design to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being pickup by the legitimate press as well."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may star together in a new movie called The Counselor. It's about a Southwest lawyer, who gets in over his head in a drug trade.

Liam Neeson recently spent two hours ironing shirts at his sister's new laundromat in Ireland. A source tells The Sun, “Everyone did a double take when they they saw Liam ironing. No one expected to see a huge star like him doing the laundry.”

 Justin Bieber and One Direction star Niall Horan had words at the Kids’ Choice Awards because Niall flirted with Selena Gomez. A source says, “Niall made a beeline for Selena and poured on the charm. When he looked into her eyes and said, ‘You’re beautiful,’ Selena melted. Justin was stewing while it went down. He was ready to explode. Justin took Niall aside and warned him to keep away from Selena.”

Simon Cowell suggested Jason Trawick take over Britney Spears' conservatorship. A source says, "Jamie (father) just isn't comfortable in that world but her fiancé, Jason Trawick is, because he is a respected Hollywood agent. Simon and Britney's camp agreed it would be a good idea to have Jason petition the court to become a co-conservator of Britney's personal life but he isn't seeking to get involved in her finances. Jason is also very excited for Britney to join the show (X-Factor)."

Elton John says he loves to sing and dance in the shower. "I get up in the morning and I play dance music while I am in the shower, so it's something I have always wanted to get into but if you don't know what you're doing then you're going to look like an idiot."

Elton John wants to become a father again. A source tells the Scottish Record, “David and Elton have never hidden their desire to extend their family and believe the time is right for another child. By the end of this year, or the beginning of next year, there will be a fourth member of the John-Furnish clan. They are incredibly excited and loving every minute of parenthood.”

 98 DEGREES is not reuniting for a tour. Last month, word went out that the boy band was hitting the road for a 15-city tour, but NICK LACHEY Tweetedlast night that it's not happening and was never supposed to. Nick and his wife VANESSA MINNILLO are expecting their first child this summer, so Nick Tweeted that the only tour he'll be doing is at Baby's 'R Us.
