Retired "60 Minutes" commentator, Andy Rooney, is reported to be in stable
condition after undergoing surgery last week. Rooney remains in the hospital
after experiencing serious complications during what was described as "minor
surgery." The type of surgery the 92 year old newsman underwent was not
specified.
"The Big Bang Theory" star, Kaley Cuoco and boyfriend Josh "Lazie" Resnik have
gotten engaged. Although it's unclear how long Cuoco and Resnik have been
dating, the actress appeared on Conan O'Brien on October 17th and talked about
loving tattoos and meeting a great guy last March. Resnik currently works as an
addiction specialist, and was once the bassist for punk band Danzig. He was
married to Jesse James' ex Janine Lindemulder for four years, and has a son with
another ex. (Sounds like a winner, Kaley, good luck.)
Steven Tyler fell and lost a couple of teeth in a hotel shower on Tuesday while
on the road with Aerosmith. The band is in Paraguay and Tyler is said to have
been dehydrated from a bout of food poisoning which is blamed for his collapse.
The band had to reschedule Tuesday night's concert and Tyler apologized to fans
for the inconvenience.
Starting next week, "The X Factor" will allow voting via Twitter. Simon Cowell
says he's been sold on the social media service and says "It's like having
millions of producers working with you." On Tuesday night's episode of "The X
Factor" Simon referred to the tweets as he made his final decision of which
singers to keep and which ones to send home.
Katie Couric says she's determined to compete on "Dancing With The Stars"
sometime before she's in a walker. Couric, now an employee of ABC, admits that
"Dancing" is her guilty pleasure.
RadarOnline is reporting that Dr. Phil is paying to have the body of Rebecca
Zahau exhumed. Rebecca's death was ruled a suicide after her body was found
hanged with her hands and feet bound, at her billionaire boyfriend Jonah
Shacknai's mansion in San Diego. The death occurred just days after Jonah’s
six-year-old son Max had an accident in the home, while under Rebecca’s care,
that turned out to be fatal. Rebecca's family does not believe she committed
suicide and have insisted that she was murdered, and now Dr. Phil McGraw is
going to have her body exhumed from her grave in Missouri and retested for any
more evidence of foul play. He will air the results on his show during the
November sweeps season.
Michael Lohan's girlfriend, Kate Major called 911 Monday night saying that
Michael threatened to kill her for refusing to perform oral sex on him. The police
showed up, cuffed Lohan, who then complained of chest pains. According to TMZ,
officers took him to the hospital, where he allegedly tried to escape. Police
caught him and immediately took him to the police station to be booked...still
in the hospital gown.
Actor James Van Der Beek has announced that he and wife Kimberly Brook are
expecting a second child. The couple have a little girl, Olivia, who was born in
September of last year.
Tony Romo told a group of Cedar Hill High School students that his wife is
pregnant. Romo was talking to the students when someone asked if he had any
kids...he replied that no, he didn't but there was one on the way... As the
students clapped, Romo, 31, smiled, raised his fist and said, "It'll be fun."
Romo and his wife, Candice Crawford, 24, were married on May 28.
I don't even know why anyone cares any more, but Jennifer Aniston is setting the
record straight. She is not pregnant and she is not getting engaged any time
soon. In fact, Aniston says she's been married once and doesn't know if she'll
ever get married again. Aniston, who began dating Justin Theroux, 40, earlier
this year adds that the ring she's currently wearing is not of the engagement
variety. The actress blames the pregnancy rumors on the fact that she has quit
smoking and has gained a few pounds in the process.
According to documents filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office, the
Kardashian girls plan to use the name "Kardashian Kollection Home" on a new line
of household items. They intend to use their name on everything from bath mats
to window blinds. No word yet on which stores will carry the items or when
they might be available.
DR. MURRAY TRIAL: TUESDAY
Randy Phillips, the concert promoter behind Michael Jackson's "This Is
It Tour," told the jury, when AEG Live announced Michael's first 10 shows, sales
were through the roof. Phillips said the demand was so high that he personally
called Jackson to see if more shows could be added. Michael agreed with two
stipulations.
1. He wanted a 16-acre country estate outside of London with streaming rivers
and horses for the kids
2. He wanted people from the "Guinness Book of World Records" present at the last
50th concert because he knew "it was a feat that no other entertainer could
beat" (Prince currently holds the record with 21 shows at the 02 Arena).
his other testimony included:
* Phillips told the jury when he first heard Jackson wanted his own personal
doctor, he tried to convince the singer to hire someone in London, but MJ
insisted on bringing Murray.
* Phillips said he had no idea there were issues with MJ's health until he got
an email from director Kenny Ortega who told him MJ wasn't focused and was
missing rehearsals.
* He then got a call from MJ's manager, Frank DiLeo, asking for a meeting to
discuss MJ's health.
* During the emergency meeting, held on June 20th, Jackson assured Phillips
he was ready to do the show.
* Phillips said there were no discussions about any drug use and that Ortega
was happy with the MJ's response.
