Hilary Duff and her husband Mike Comrie told us in August that they were
expecting their first child. Hilary, taping an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres
Show" that will air on Monday, Oct. 17th, announced the sex of her baby...a boy!  Duff, who barely even shows, is four months along and says the whole pregnancy has been a piece of cake.

Joel "Taz" DiGregorio The Charlie Daniels Band member who co-wrote "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" died Wednesday when his SUV veered off the road and slammed into a tree.  Taz was on his way to meet the band's tour bus in Tennessee -- when he crashed on Interstate 40 west of Nashville. "Taz" a founding member of the band, spent the last 40 years playing keyboard and singing vocals in addition to writing songs.  He was 67 years old

Hilary Swank is apologizing to about anyone who will listen in order to make her commitment to human rights clear.  The Oscar winner had attended a ribbon cutting ceremony and wished happy birthday to Chechen President Ramzam Kadyrov.  Swank says she accepted the invitation "because the construction project was described to her as a symbol of hope for the people of Chechnya, a region that had been devastated by war." Critics argue that Swank's presence and birthday wishes was disrespectful as the Chechen president is responsible for torturing and/or murdering a number of individuals.  The Human Rights Commission claims it also sent Swank a letter ahead of the event explaining why attendance would be a massive mistake.

Christopher Chaney, the Florida man who has been charged with hacking into the e-mail accounts of Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis, says he was relieved when the FBI raided his house and took his computers. Chaney says the hacking became an addiction, but swears his intentions weren't meant to hurt anyone. The
hacking started as curiosity but seeing the behind-the-scenes of what's going on with the people you see on the big screen becomes addictive. Wednesday, Chaney was charged with 25 counts of identity theft and could face up to 120 years in prison.

Whitney Houston almost got kicked off a Delta Airlines flight Wednesday because she refused to buckle her seatbelt. Whitney boarded a flight in Atlanta and when she settled into her seat, a crew member asked her to buckle up.  Whitney reportedly went all diva on the flight crew and was told if she didn't buckle up, she would have to be escorted off the plane.  The singer eventually allowed one of the crew members to fasten the belt for her and the plane was then cleared for takeoff.  Reps for the singer say that Whitney was sober, but justexhausted.

Now that Kate Plus 8 has been cancelled and there haven't been any new TV offers, Kate Gosselin is returning to work as a labor-and-delivery nurse says a report in Life & Style magazine. According to the article, Kate is terrified about being able to make ends meet and support her family. Although Kate, 36, has said she'd prefer TV and film work to delivering babies, she knows she has eight kids to provide for.

Limp Bizkits' Fred Durst has signed his first ever TV deal with CBS and CBS TV Studios. He will be producing and staring in a half hour comedy project.  The show, centers around a rock legend looking for balance between his high profile lifestyle and trying to raise a family.

Casey Anthony, the Florida mom who was acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee will be the subject of a "E! True Hollywood Story. Anthony's episode will air next Wednesday at 10pm. Among those interviewed for the one-hour special include journalists who followed the case, former boyfriends and high school friends, defense attorneys and even Zenaida Gonzalez, a woman with the same name as the "nanny" Anthony claimed kidnapped her child.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday says that 67% of New Jersey voters think that the MTV show "Jersey Shore" is bad for the state. 71% of those surveyed said that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie did the right thing by by blocking a tax credit for the makers of "Jersey Shore."

Dr. Nadar Kamangar, a pulmonary and critical care doctor who specializes in sleep medicine, took the stand in the Dr. Conrad Murray manslaughter case on Thursday. The doctor called Murrays use of Propofol "inconceivable," "unethical," and "disturbing." Kamangar said he found "multiple extreme deviations" in Murray's standard of care as it relates to insomnia.

* Dr. Kamangar told the court insomnia is a common problem in the ICU he said he uses Propofol on a daily basis.

* Kamangar said Propofol should be used with extreme caution because it can be unpredictable, especially when used with other sedatives.

* He said Murray's treatment of Michael Jackson amounted to "gross negligence."

* According to Kamangar , Murray should have never given MJ any sedatives because he was dehydrated which means his blood pressure was already low.

* He also said Murray's failure to call 911 was an "unconscionable deviation of care" adding, Murray wasted critical time calling MJ's assistant instead of
calling 911.

* Kamangar told the court Murray broke one of the first rules of medicine -- putting your patient first -- when he withheld information from ER docs.

* He also said Murray behaved unethically when he chose to ignore "clear signs"  of MJ's drug addiction.
