"The X Factor" finalist Brian "Astro" Bradley is attempting to make amends after his outburst on last week's elimination show that almost got him kicked off the show. The pouting 15-year-old,who was in the bottom two of the votes, told Simon Cowell, "I just feel like if you're going to put me in the bottom two, I don't want to perform for people who don't want me here. All of the judges took offense and each laid into him live on camera. Astro has gone on Facebook and says that he believed he was being mistreated...and maybe took the situation "too heavy". I seriously apologize to my fans. I'm 15 and I think I know everything, but the truth is, I don't, and I handled the situation wrong!" Simon, LA Reid and Astro's dad all met with the young rapper and it looks like he'll be back on the show this week.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Robin Gibb, a founding member the Bee Gees, is battling liver cancer. The 61-year-old received the news a few months ago, but ithas just recently become public. The Grammy winner looks extremely thin in photos and he has canceled numerous recent appearances. The Bee Gees are one of the most successful groups ever, selling more than 220 million albums. They disbanded after Maurice Gibb's death in 2003, but reunited for performances on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2009 and "American Idol" in 2010. Brother, Andy Gibb died in 1988.
Ronan Farrow, son of director Woody Allen and actress Mia Farrow, has been named a Rhodes Scholar. Farrow, 23, is just one of 32 American students chosen for the distinction of being able to study at Oxford University at least two years. Farrow graduated Bard College in 2004 when he was just 15. He then entered Yale Law School as a 17-year-old.
"Dancing With The Stars" Maksim Chmerkovskiy appears to be getting a little too big for his britches. According to Us Weekly, the crew is fed up with his bad attitude. Lately he's been bad mouthing his fellow dancers, insulting the judges on camera and refusing to talk to journalists after he and Hope Solo were voted off November 15th. It will be interesting to see if Maks will be invited back todance next season.
It will be interesting to see if there is a pre-nup in place between Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. If not, then Moore, filing for divorce more than likely in California, will be entitled to half of everything he made while they were together. Demi got a $12 million dollar payday for "Striptease" but that was 15 years ago. Ashton's career took off about 10 years ago and he's been gold ever since. Kutcher has made an estimated $7 million from "Two and a Half Men" alone this year, and that's not counting all the other projects he's involved in. This will be Demi's third divorce and Ashton's first.
Roseanne Barr is being forced to make a $40,000 payment to her ex-husband, Ben Thomas. Thomas had actually demanded $100,000 from Roseanne, purely out of spite for dragging him through the custody battle ... which they settled back in August.Friday, the court bumped that down to $5,000, along with $35,000 for his lawyers... (doesn't seem right, does it that his lawyers get more than he does?)
Vanessa Minnillo has officially changed her last name to Lachey. She and Nick Lachey tied the knot in July.
The newlywed who describes herself as a "host by day, wifey by night, wanna-be mommy all the time" in her Twitter profile, recently purchased an 8 bedroom, 8,000 square foot home in in Encino, Calif. with her husband. Lachey, 38, recently told E! News he's been "doing everything I can" to get his wife pregnant.
Elisabeth Shue is headed for CSI. She will be replacing Marg Helgenberger who is set to leave the show in Januray. Shue joins the team as a fresh-out-of-anger-management CSI who may or may not have been fired by D.B. Russell back at their previous precinct in Seattle. Helgenberger's character, Catherine Willows, may still pop up for an occasional guest spot. Shue makes her CSI debut on Wednesday, February 15th.
Big shots at Disney say they are going to take their time looking for a new permanent co-host to replace Regis Philbin. Regis retired on Friday and it looks like it could be at least six months before a decision is made to who will sit in the "Live" chair next to Kelly Ripa. Until that time, guest hosts will appear a week at a time which Jerry Seinfeld being the first.
Oprah Winfrey’s new primetime show, "Oprah’s Next Chapter" will debut Sunday, January 1 at 8pm. The premiere will feature a two-hour chat with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler from his home in New Hampshire. TLC has ordered a new show called, "Geek Love" that follows a speed-dating service at nerd-drawing events like Comic-Con. Tareq Salahi says he wants to sue Journey's Neal Schon for $17 million dollars for stealing his wife. Tareq fired off a letter to the two ... threatening a lawsuit and demanding they cough up dough for humiliating him with their torrid affair. The response from the couple? They laughed and said, "get a grip."
Briton's Prince Harry was in Las Vegas over the weekend and the two seemed to get along just fine. Harry, 27, is on break from military training her in the states. While he danced the night away at a couple of clubs on Friday and Saturday, Harry and his bodyguards lost a total of $500 at the blackjack tables. He and friends also took in Cirque Du Soleil's "O" at the Bellagio. The one thing that seemed to knock his socks off during the stay? The free drinks while gambling. (I guess "free" is in the mind of the beholder, especially if you've just lost $300)
