After playing it cool in Minnesota for a couple of weeks, Kim Kardashian's soon
to be ex, Kris Humphries surfaced in New York on Monday. Humphries said he was
in town on business and told friends he is working on moving on from his
"devastating" split after 72 days of marriage to Kardashian. The basketball
star says there's no truth to the rumors that he will refuse to sign divorce
papers or has even hired a new lawyer to stop the divorce. Humphries says he
will sign the papers when they come.
It seems some people are fed up with Kim and the whole darn Kardashian family. A
former fan, Cyndy Snider, has started a petition to E! saying that she and the
undersigned, would like to see less of the Kardashian's on the network...and so
far, 11,000 others agree with her. In a petition posted to GoPetition.com on
November 2nd, Cyndy Snider asks that concerned parties join her in pushing for
the end of the show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." According to Snider, "We
feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed,
promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption." Unfortunately
for Snider, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" remains one of E!'s highest-rated
shows.
Karl Slover, one of the last surviving actors who played Munchkins in the 1939
classic film, "The Wizard of Oz," has died. He was 93. The 4-foot-5 Slover died
of cardiopulmonary arrest Tuesday afternoon in a suburban Atlanta hospital.
Slover, the tiniest male Munchkin, was best known for playing the lead trumpeter
in the Munchkins' band but also had roles as a townsman and soldier in the film.
While Diane Keaton and Woody Allen were an iconic couple during the "Annie Hall"
era, it appears that the actress was battling an eating disorder. According to
Keaton's new memoir, "Then Again," Keaton regularly bailed out on dates with
Allen so that she could go home to binge on "barely imaginable quantities of
food." She describes dinner as "a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken, several
orders of chips with blue cheese and ketchup, a couple of TV dinners,
chocolate-covered almonds, a large bottle of 7Up, a pound of peanut brittle,
M&Ms, mango juice, one Sara Lee pound cake, and three frozen banana-cream pies."
Breakfast and lunch were similarly shocking. Keaton would then vomit afterward,
purging the food. "The demands of bulimia outshone the power of my desire for
Woody. Pathetic, but true," she writes. She was bulimic from age 22-25, when she
recovered after Allen urged her to see a psychoanalyst every day for 18 months.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is going to guest star on Suburgatory,
playing himself in an episode that will air in 2012.
When Tessa's school, Chatswin High, puts on a co-ed sophomore mixer, there's
really only one person that they want to DJ the event: The Sitch! So the Jersey
Shore star comes to town to get the party started and Chatswin may never be the
same.
Dean Cain will guest star on the 13th episode of "Criminal Minds"... Cain will
play Curtis, described as "a blue-collar, east coast type" who is "a
down-on-his-luck gambler." He thinks he's found the method to his winning streak
and it involves killing people." That episode is scheduled to hit television
screens in January.
TLC has ordered an all-new seven-part series called, "Extreme Couponing
All-Stars". The show will feature 12 of the series’ best savers as they go
head-to-head in a shopping challenge. Each couponer must buy $500 worth of items
in only 30 minutes. The person with the highest percentage of savings will be
named the winner. The haul will then be donated to a local charity.
Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner have called off their engagement after three
months. The couple began dating in 2007 and were engaged last August. It would
have been the third marriage for Locklear, 50, who was previously wed to rockers
Richie Sambora and Tommy Lee. Wagner, 52, divorced first wife Kristina Wagner in
2006.
"Twilight" actress Nikki Reed and former "American Idol" contestant Paul
McDonald are back from their honeymoon and have recorded a song together called,
"Now That I Found You." McDonald wrote the music and Nikki wrote the lyrics and
its a ballad about finding true love. McDonald is encouraging his wife to
pursue her music more seriously, so maybe they'll become the new Sonny and Cher?
Michael Jackson's brothers, Marlon, Jackie, and Tito, have filed a lawsuit
against a guy who they say duped them into signing 1,000 replicas of Michael's
famous "Thriller" and "Beat It" jackets. The brothers were promised $100,000
each for their signatures on replicas of the iconic, red, leather jackets. The
claim is that Steeve Bohbot and the other defendants were supposed to pay as
soon as the ink was dry, but they allegedly changed the deal and said they would
pay when the jackets were delivered to Amazon.com. The brothers said they never
got paid and they want their money...now!
It's come out that Conrad Murray's lawyers will ask Judge Michael Pastor for
mercy when he's sentenced on November 29th. The mercy they're talking about is
in the form of probation and no more jail time. Attorneys Mike Flanagan and Ed
Chernoff will argue that Murray has no criminal history, and he's been a model
citizen and good doctor for all of his professional life. Murray faces a maximum
of 4 years in State prison.
