"Pop Up Video," will return to VH1 in the fall. There will be some new twists such as interactive elements, user polling and user-generated pop up content. The videos will be available to view and share on VH1.com.
Another classic VH1 series, "Behind the Music," will return in June with seven episodes including Ice Cube, Mary J. Blige, Ricky Martin, Adam Lambert and Enrique Iglesias.
Tennis star, Anna Kournikova, has been confirmed as the new trainer, replacing Jillian Michaels, on "The Biggest Loser" next season. The decision to go in a new direction with the show's trainer is part of an overall reboot of the program. Next season the show will be getting slightly away from just the tape measure, and getting into overall well being and health of its contestants.
Former San Francisco Giants great Barry Bonds has ponied up the big bucks. Bonds has set up a college fund for the kids of Giants fan, Bryan Stow, who was severely beaten and left in a coma outside of Dodgers Stadium last month. Bonds made the pledge to Stow's son and daughter after visiting the family in the hospital April 22nd. Stow, 42, remains in critical but stable condition under heavy sedation to prevent seizures caused by the traumatic brain injury he suffered in the March 31st attack.
"Parks and Recreation" star, Amy Poehler, shared some of her life advice with Harvard University's Class of 2011 on Wednesday. Before taking the podium, Poehler earned laughs by flipping the middle finger to the student who introduced her as the "blonde Tina Fey."
Below, find some of the funniest moments from Poehler's speech:
- "You're here because someone gave you strength: God, Allah, Buddha, Gaga. Whoever you pray to.
-"If I wanted to give advice as an actor: Don't do it. Don't be one. There are too many. Sorry no more room at the inn. I bet you're great, just work with the human genome."
-"I cannot stress enough that the answer to a lot of your life's questions is often in someone else's face. Look at people's faces. They will tell you amazing things. Like if they're angry, nauseous, or asleep."
-"You never know what's around the corner unless you peek. Hold someone's hand while you do it, you'll feel less scared. It's much more fun to succeed and fail with other people. You can blame them."
-"When you feel scared, hold someone's hand, look into their eyes. When you feel brave, do the same thing. You are here because you're smart and brave, and if you add to that kindness and the ability to change a tire, you almost make up the perfect person."
Simon Cowell's "The X Factor" has already lost a judge. British pop star, Cheryl Cole has left the program just halfway through the audition process. TMZ cites a source that said Cole wasn't "meshing" well with the other female judge in Cowell's life, Paula Abdul. Others speculate that Cheryl's thick accent was too difficult for viewers to understand. Nicole Scherzinger will take her place at the judges table.
The Walt Disney Co. has withdrawn its application to trademark "SEAL Team 6," the name of the elite Navy SEALs squad that carried out the killing of Osama bin Laden because the Navy wasn't happy about it. Disney submitted the paperwork just two days after bin Laden was shot. Disney explained that it withdrew its own application in deference to the Navy.
According to the National Enquirer, the California Attorney General is reportedly opening an inquiry into whether or not Arnold Schwarzenegger used taxpayer funds to cover up his extramarital affairs during his years as governor. William Taylor, who said he was head of security at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sacramento, says he witnessed Arnold using California Highway Patrol officers and vehicles to ferry women to his private suite. Former CHP Sergeant Mark Hammond, who was on Governator duty for seven years, says that he never saw Arnold "say or do anything that could be deemed inappropriate" and denies that any cover-up took place under his watch.
In the meantime, Wednesday, a second woman came forward to say she had an affair with the governor. Her name is Gigi Goyette, and met Schwarzenegger in the 1970s, prior to his marriage to Maria but when Gigi was only 16 and Arnold was 27. They connected and then ten years later, the two picked up their relationship when she began working at Arnold's Annual Fitness Convention in Ohio. Arnold's lawyer says that Goyette has sold at least 4 stories to the tabloids and only wants to make money.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage's ashes were spread at the base of a tree at his Florida home on Tuesday and in compliance with his final request, the family did not play his wrestling theme music during the ceremony. Savage made it very clear in his funeral plans ... no one was to play his theme music, Pomp and Circumstance, while he was laid to rest.
Evidently the Beebs is making too much money! Justin Bieber dropped a cool $25,000 on a "Family Guy" inspired necklace...The pendant, shaped like Stewie, contains over 12 carats of rubies and diamonds set in 14 carat gold. Justin and Beverly Hills jeweler Jason Arasheben, helped design the whole thing.
Jessica is originally from Marietta, GA! I am probably one of the only real "Atlantans" left! I love Atlanta because there is always something going on, and it's just close enough to the beach to get away for a weekend.
