Sorry, Charlie, you ARE replaceable. Believe it or not, Ashton Kutcher will join the cast of "Two and a Half Men" for its fall 2011 season!. The deal reportedly comes after negotiations with Hugh Grant fell apart at the last minute. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kutcher is getting a "huge payday" to join the sitcom and creator Chuck Lorre has come up with a storyline that will satisfy the network, studio and fans.
Leonardo Di Caprio and his supermodel girlfriend, Bar Refaeli, have ended their five year relationship...again. The couple broke up for six months before, in 2009. According to a source, "they do this every two years" and believes there's a strong possibility DiCaprio, 36, and Refaeli, 25, will reconcile. In the meantime, the two continue to talk and be friends, saying they have just grown apart.
The Kennedy Center in Washington announced Thursday that Will Ferrell will receive the 2011 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Past honorees include Tina Fey, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Carl Reiner, "SNL" producer Lorne Michaels, Neil Simon and Whoopi Goldberg. Ferrell will accept the Mark Twain Prize on October 23rd.
Justin Bieber is doing President Obama a solid, by helping the president keep one of his promises. The New York Post recently wrote a story about 14-year-old Payton Wall, who lost her father in 9/11. She wrote to President Obama, who invited her to join him at Ground Zero for the ceremony after Osama bin Laden was killed. It was widely reported that at the ceremony, President Obama told Payton that he knows Justin Bieber and could arrange for them to meet. When Justin read the story, he decided to help Obama keep that promise and will meet with the 14 year old. Awwww....
Lady Gaga, on American Idol, totally freaked out James Durbin. We all saw her get his hips moving during their coaching session, but James says the experience wasn't something he enjoyed. "To sum it up in one word, for me: Awkward... Unexpected and very uncomfortable. I didn't like it."
So where did the names Monroe and Moroccan Scott come from as baby names for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's kids? According to Nick, Mariah has always been a big Marilyn Monroe fan. Moroccan...Nick asked Mariah to marry him in the Moroccan room of their home and Scott is Nick's middle name. "My kids' names are Roc and Roe," Cannon pointed out gleefully. "Right there, it can't get any better than that.... "I think we did a good job on the names," he said. "They ain't gonna be mad at us when they grow up."
A doctor who repeatedly administered Propofol to Michael Jackson has been ordered against his will to testify on behalf of Dr. Conrad Murray. TMZ is reporting that Dr. David Adams, a Las Vegas anesthesiologist, put Michael under with Propofol on 4 separate occasions in 2008. Dr. Adams vehemently objected to being subpoenaed, claiming he's a "low-key individual" and he's already lost business because of getting dragged into the case.
Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko have broken up. The 35-year-old boxer told People.com, "We had a great time together, but it's not that easy to manage a relationship between two continents." The couple had been together for 2 years.
California reality show actress, Kristin Cavallari, is leaving the hills of LA for the midwest! When the former reality star said yes to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler's marriage proposal on April 24th, she was also accepting a life away from the spotlight. "This is a new, exciting phase of my life" she says. The two will get married and live in Chicago.
Model, Mia Amber Davis, died from a blood clot following surgery to her knee the cornor says in his initial report. While the blood clot finding was expected, the cause of death won't be official for several weeks, due to the length of time it takes for toxicology tests results. Davis was excited to have an operation on her knee to relieve issues from an old sports injury. The family is currently preparing to transport Davis' body home to New York, where the funeral will be held, though no date has been set.
Matthew Perry, who has struggled with prescription pills and alcohol in the past, is checking himself in to a treatment facility as part of his ongoing recovery. The Friends star, 41, has been in rehab twice before in 2001 and 1997. Perry says he's not had a relapse but is working on keeping a sober life. "Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web while I'm away" he said.
Actress Mary Tyler Moore has elected to undergo brain surgery. The star, 73, will have a benign tumor of the linking tissue of her brain, removed. Her neurologist has been monitoring the tumor for years. She has not revealed when the procedure will take place.
After 36 years, newsman, Jim Lehrer, will be leaving "NewsHour" on June 6th...
