*Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver have announced they are separating after 25 years of marriage. The LA Times reports that Shriver has moved out of the couple's Brentwood mansion while the couple decides their next step. They have released a joint statement regarding their separation:
"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship. We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives. We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public."
63-year-old Arnold and 55-year-old Maria met in 1977 when Tom Brokaw introduced them at a charity event. They were married in 1986. The couple have four children together: Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher. (really, is anyone surprised?)
Alicia Silverstone had her first baby and her first Mother's Day all in one weekend. The "Clueless" gave birth to a boy on Thursday in Los Angeles, the first for Silverstone, 34, and rocker husband, Christopher Jarecki. No reason has been given for naming their son, Bear Blu. Maybe she's been working with PETA too much or not eating enough meat... Silverstone says she was destined to be a mother...she's wanted a baby of her own since she was two... Alicia and her husband, frontman for the punk group S.T.U.N., married in Lake Tahoe in 2005. They've been together since 1997.
First Lady Michelle Obama has scheduled a poetry evening for Wednesday, and she's invited several poets, including a successful Chicago poet and rapper, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr., AKA "Common". However, Lynn is quite controversial, in part because his poetry includes threats to shoot police and at least one passage calling for the "burn[ing]" of then-President George W. Bush.
Bristol Palin and her young son, Tripp will be moving in with her fellow DWTS alum, Kyle Massey for a new reality series for the BIO channel. The untitled series, which will also feature Massey's brother, actor Christopher Massey, follows single mom Bristol Palin's move from Alaska to Los Angeles to work at a small charity while living with her two good friends. While on Dancing, Bristol became very close with fellow contestant Kyle Massey and, since the show, she has become best friends with him and his brother Chris.
Poor Erica Kane! Life is always in an uproar for that character in "All My Children and now it looks like the canceled show is going out with a bang. After 41 years, the show will end for good in September and Susan Lucci will get her first dual role. Starting May 12, Lucci will be playing Erica Kane and Jane Campbell, a doppelganger who will wreak havoc in Erica’s life "in every possible way". Fans will figure out now that given that Erica was kidnapped weeks ago on her wedding day and has never seen her captor, it will be revealed that Jane is the mystery person behind the abduction and wants to take over Erica's life of luxury after learning every little detail of her memory from her prisoner.
Police say that Gabriel Aron Benmeir, 30, an MTV musical coordinator was shot execution-style in the back of the head early Sunday morning in front of his Mid-Wilshire apartment in Los Angeles. Several residents reported hearing gunshots around 1am but did not report it to police. A man walking his dog at about 6:30 the next morning found the body on the sidewalk face down in a pool of blood and called police. Benmeir is listed as a music coordinator and production coordinator on several MTV shows including "Punk'd" and "Top Pop Group." Sources say there are currently no suspects in the case.
NeNe Leakes says she "feels good" about quitting "Celebrity Apprentice" (in Sunday's episode) because she feels Donald Trump disrespected her both behind and in front of the cameras. Leakes told TMZ her feud with Star Jones was REAL -- and says she was legitimately upset with Trump when he changed the teams on the show to "accommodate" Star. Leakes says she felt producers were provoking and manipulating her, calling the whole deal a very toxic situation. Nene says she's not a quitter or a loser, but had to leave to preserve her own sanity.

Hollywood legend Jackie Cooper wanted to make sure that his last will and testament were left intact, exactly the way he planned it, so he wrote in a special provision intended to dissuade anyone who challenges his final wishes. According to the final will filed in L.A. County Superior Court two days after the actor passed away, everything was left to his wife. When she passes away, the estate will be divided equally between their children. To prevent any nasty fights by his kids over the money, Cooper wrote in a clause saying if anyone tries to contest the will, "I give to such persons so contesting or objecting the sum of FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00) and no more."

Jessica is originally from Marietta, GA! I am probably one of the only real "Atlantans" left! I love Atlanta because there is always something going on, and it's just close enough to the beach to get away for a weekend.
