Comedian, Martin Short has signed on to join the cast of "How I Met Your Mother".  He will replace Dave Foley in the recurring role of Marshall's boss. Foley in the meantime, has moved on to his own new comedy, called, "How to Be a Gentleman" which was recently picked up by CBS.

The latest issue of Details magazine has an interview with "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," star, Shia LaBeouf.  In the piece, the actor admits tht he did hook up with Megan Fox, who co-starred with him in the first two "Transformer" movies and says their chemistry off screen was evident on screen. "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing." When asked if Fox was with her now-husband and then-fiance Brian Austin Green at the time, LaBeouf responds, "I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know."

Hulk Hogan can't stand the lies his ex-wife Linda is telling saying she's just plain "delusional" for accusing him of violence during their marriage ... insisting he "never laid a hand on her."  He says Linda's claims of abuse, which she made Tuesday morning on the "Today" show, are "a cold, blatant lie."  Hulk says Linda is a "non-issue still riding on the Hulk Hogan name."

PETA's sexiest of the year?  "Saturday Night Live" star Kristen Wiig and comedian, Russell Brand are the sexiest vegetarians of 2011. Brand has been a vegetarian since he was a teenager, and Wiig has said that "tofu and soy" are staples of her diet. Past winners also include Carrie Underwood, Prince, Tobey Maguire, Alicia Silverstone, Kristen Bell and Josh Hartnett.

Mel Gibson and soon-to-be-ex-wife Robyn have reportedly reached a settlement in their divorce paving the way for the action to be finalized by the end of August. Robyn Gibson filed for divorce in 2009, though court filings indicated the couple had been separated since 2006. The couple married in 1980 and have eight children together. In 2009, Gibson's then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva also gave birth to a daughter with Gibson.

Actor, Wilmer Valderrama got popped with a speeding ticket on the way to the premiere of the movie, "Larry Crowne". Wilmer was smiling and  cooperative during the stop even though the ticket will cost him at least $300 bucks.

Brooke Mueller is worried that ex-hubby Charlie Sheen may falter on his $55,000 a month child support payments, so she got a judge to order Warner Bros. to garnish Charlie's checks every month. The lawyers are demanding that the studio send the $55 grand a month directly to Brooke.  Charlie is not behind on his child support, but Brooke wants to make sure she gets her share if Charlie ever runs low on cash.

Counting Crows singer, Adam Duritz, who says he suffers from "severe mental illness" says he's trying to get off his prescribed medications.  Duritz says he has a form of dissociative disorder that "makes the world seem like it’s not real."  He took drugs to keep himself balanced, but now he wants to cut his Lithium dosage by half even it if means going through horrendous withdrawal.
Lithium is commonly used as a mood-stabilizing drug.  The ultimate goal, however, is not sobriety because the rocker says he likes drinking and tweeted  "Sober=not for me."

America Ferrera married her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Piers Williams on Monday night.  She may have played "Ugly Betty" but America was stunning in her flowing wedding gown. Guests at the ceremony included the actress's former costars Vanessa Williams, Rebecca Romijn, her husband Jerry O'Connell and Blake Lively. The couple met when Williams cast Ferrera in his student film at the University of Southern California.

Courteney Cox and Busy Philipps say "Cougar Town" is getting closer to changing its title to... Friends With Beverages.  Courteney says she loves the name because "it's a play on 'friends with benefits,' it's a play on Friends, and we all sure drink a lot of wine."  There are still a number of other titles being kicked around and no final decision has been made.

"SNL" alum Darrell Hammond was mildly hurt in a car Crash on Saturday. Darrell was riding in the passenger seat with a friend, driving through the village, (New York) when their car was swiped by a vehicle traveling at up to 70 miles an hour. He's home and bruised but not seriously injured.

Lindsay Lohan finishes up her house arrest in Los Angeles today (Wednesday) and she's not wasting any time getting out of town. Reportedly she's flying to the east coast to attend a star studded birthday bash celebrating her 25th birthday.

Tom Petty is not at all happy that Michele Bachmann, is using his song "American Girl" on her campaign stops as she tours Iowa as a candidate for the president of the United States.  Petty has fired a cease and desist order to the Minnesota Congresswoman to keep her from using his music in her rallies.  During the last presidential election, Jon Bon Jovi took issue with Sarah Palin using his band's "Who Says You Can't Go Home" during stops, Survivor insisted that appearances by John McCain not include the group's Rocky theme "Eye of the Tiger" and Jackson Browne went so far as to file a copyright infringement suit against McCain and the Republican National Committee for using "Running on Empty," in campaign ads.
