It's official -- Ja Rule is now inmate 07608730Q. Rapper Ja Rule has turned himselfbin to authorities to begin his two-year prison sentence in New York. The singer spent some private time with his wife, close friends and family members before he was taken behind closed doors. The rapper (Jeffrey Atkins) was dealt the 2-year sentence in 2010 when he pled guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon -- stemming from a 2007 incident in which cops found a loaded semi-automatic handgun in his sports car.

On Tuesday, 10 protesters were arrested near the El Segundo, Calif., offices of Mattel Inc. after they unfurled a massive banner from the Mattel 15-story headquarters building. The banner featured an image of Ken and the words, "Barbie: it's over. I don't date girls that are into deforestation." According to the Los Angeles Times, Greenpeace is protesting Mattel's use of packaging purportedly made from wood taken from Indonesian rainforests. Rolf Skar of Greenpeace USA, says, "Mattel buys paper without asking where it's coming from."

Paramount is releasing the movie "Super 8" to twitter users a day early. The hashtag #Super8Secret directs you to a page where you can buy tickets to special screenings of the movie on Thursday (June 9), a day before the movie's scheduled release date. About 300 theaters nationwide will have the movie running all day Thursday.

TMZ is reporting that Former Chicago Cubs superstar, Mark Grace, was arrested for drunk driving in Scottsdale, Arizona on Memorial Day. Police observed Grace in his 2009 Jaguar weaving in and out of his lane around 1am on May 30th.  Grace admitted to having had a couple of drinks, one just five minutes before the stop.  The 46-year-old Grace did not have his wallet or license with him at the time of the arrest. Grace was handcuffed, taken to a nearby command post and booked on DUI, improper right turn, driver's license not in possession and failure to carry registration in his vehicle.

O.M.G.  According to the New York Times, Rep. Anthony Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, is pregnant with the couple's first child! Despite the fact he's been sexting and sending women naked pictures of himself, Weiner told the media in a press conference that his marriage is not in jeopardy. Abedin, an aide to Hillary Clinton, is currently on her way to Northern Africa with her boss.

NFL player Bret Lockett says he's not afraid of b legal threats because he has concrete proof the two hooked up while Kim was dating her fiance Kris Humphries. Kim threatened to sue Lockett and In Touch Weekly for defamation over the story that Lockett claimed Kim's been cheating on her fiance with him. Lockett claims he has phone records, text messages and very personal cell phone pictures of Kim and he's willing to present the evidence in court.

Leeza Gibbons is returning to daily first-run syndication as co-host of "America Now". She joins co-host Bill Rancic on the show, set to launch September 12th. The half-hour show is a lifestyle program featuring short informational segments about such topics as health and beauty, finance, family and home. Gibbons previously co-hosted Entertainment Tonight, served as host and managing editor of Extra, and  executive produced and hosted her own NBC-syndicated talk show, Leeza.

Phil Pallen, one of two guys still vying for the Sheen internship, has decided to ditch the contest in order to take an opportunity with Ryan Seacrest. Pallen said he was offered the internship with the digital team at Ryan Seacrest Productions after they saw his website. He leaves from Canada for L.A. on June 30th.

"Dancing With The Stars" pro dancer, Karina Smirnoff has set her wedding day to baseball player, Brad Penny, for January 21, 2012 The nuptials will take in Cozumel, Mexico.  Right now, however, Karina says she's trying to decide between six different wedding gowns.   They all have one thing in common, however, she says "I want the train to be as long as Hollywood Boulevard because it's like, you only get to wear it once. I want it to be memorable. Like a princess."

"American Idol's" Paul McDonald, 26, and "Twilight"s" Nikki Reed, 23, have not only gotten engaged at the speed of light, but they have also gotten matching tattoos of each other's names on their fingers. The couple visted Studio 21 Tattoo in Las Vegas in mid May and had the work done.  And lest you think this is all just a whirlwind romance, they’re even buying a house together. People magazine quotes the actress as saying, "I want L.A. to be a enjoyable experience for him and music is so important, that I want to build a space for him so that’s why I’m getting a bigger home!"

The original cast of MTV's Teen Mom, Amber, Catelynn, Farrah and Maci, will return next month for the show's third season and it may be their toughest year yet as they deal with custody battles, police calls and shouting matches. The new season of Teen Mom premieres July 5th on MTV.

Shania Twain has just landed a residency show on the Vegas strip at the Colosseum showroom at Caesars Palace. The show is titled "Still the One" and will run for at least two years starting on December 1st, 2012.

You would expect that Anne Hathaway would kick butt as Catwoman in the new Batman movie, but while filming The Dark Knight Rises, the actress, 28, accidentally gave a stuntman a black eye when she hit him with the butt of a prop gun prop during a fight scene. "Anne was mortified," says a source. "It was all in good humor, but the poor guy took quite a pummeling."

Harpo's Studios, owned by Oprah Winfrey, has sent notice to the tax board that it will be laying off at least 33% of its 400 full and part time employees over the next few months. About 50 employees decided to relocate with Oprah to the L.A. offices for OWN, leaving about 400 behind.  The layoff process began on May 25. "All employees were made aware of this rightsizing months ago," a spokesperson said.  "rightsizing?"
