Country singer, Trace Adkins' home in Tennessee was destroyed in a fire Saturday. And while no one was injured, the home in Brentwood, Tennessee and all of its contents were a total loss.  "I'm sad because we lost irreplaceable things like all Trace's awards and our family photos" said his wife. Adkins was flying to Alaska Saturday for a fishing trip and got the news and caught the next flight home. Rhonda Adkins was driving home from Atlanta Saturday afternoon and was about 10 minutes from home when a neighbor called her about the fire. The couple's two youngest children, ages 9 and 6, and houseguests who were watching the kids escaped the house unharmed, as did the family pets. The fire started in the garage, but its cause is currently unknown.

Adele has had to cancel her dates in the U.S. after suffering with a persistant bout of laryngitis. She had previously postponed five shows on the advice of her doctor, but when the condition failed to improve, she was put on "absolute voice rest" for several weeks.  Her site says there are plans to reschedule the sold out canceled shows but there's no concrete information yet.

So how are execs going to write out Charlie Harper on "Two and a Half Men" when it comes back next season?  What turned out to be the last episode of Season 8 (and Sheen's last episode all together) had Charlie and Rose packing for a trip to Paris.  Instead of just another storyline, it looks like the show will merely have Charlie taking a liking to France and deciding not to come back. There's still no word on how Ashton Kutcher will be introduced to the series, or what his character's relationship to Alan and Jake will be.

Well at least someone has a head on their shoulders... Kim Kardashian and her fiance, Kris Humphries, are hammering out a prenup before they tie the knot.  The legalize isn't just one-sided since Kim is worth a reported $35 mil. As for Kris ... he's not only making $3.2 mil a year with the Nets, his family also owns a couple of burger joints in Minnesota. Kris' net worth is estimated at $8 million.

The calendar is really filling up for the new "American Idol" winner! Scotty will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, June 10th. He will also perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on June 15th. Then Scotty

Ja Rule is just days away from turning himself in for a two-year stint behind bars and he's decided what he wants to do when he's doing his time. The rapper says he wants to get his GED, write a book, and maybe learn to play an instrument.

William Shatner received an honorary doctor of letters degree from his alma mater, McGill University, on Thursday ...plus, he addressed the 500 graduating students. "This was an easy degree to get!" quipped the 80 year old Shatner. The Montreal-born actor told the students that he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, but discovered his talent was in making people laugh and entertaining them. He also advised students not to be scared of taking chances. "Don't be afraid of making an ass of yourself," he said. "I do it all the time and look what I got."
