What started as sweet and heartwarming, has now become a Hollywood "thing"...
.Scarlett Johansson has become the latest celeb to be invited by a Marine to the
November 10th Marine Corps Ball. Sgt. Dustin L. Williams invited Johansson to
the ball held in Albany, Ga. "Scarlett Johansson," says Williams in the video,
"it would be my pleasure to take you to the Marine Corps Ball and spend an
evening with you." So far attending the ball are Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake
and "Terminator" star Linda Hamilton.  Even Miley Cyrus has received an invite,
but she's not issued a response as yet.

Jeret "Speedy" Peterson, who won a silver medal for freestyle skiing for the
U.S. in 2010, died Monday night from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Salt Lake
County Unified Police say Peterson called cops to tell them where he was before
he shot himself. Peterson was arrested last week in Idaho for speeding and DUI.
Jeret, 29, was a 3-time Olympian competing in 2002, 2006 and 2010 in Vancouver.
He was famous for his signature move called "the Hurricane" which contained 3
somersaults and 5 twists.

In kind of a weird photo op, Amy Winehouse's former bodyguards all had their
photos taken with Amy's cremated remains which were housed in a box.  Andrew
Morris is the bodyguard who discovered Amy's body and called for help. At her
funeral yesterday, her father told stories from her childhood and remembered
always telling her into bed.  Mitch Winehouse ended his eulogy, with "Goodnight
my angel ... Sleep tight. Mommy and Daddy love you ever so much." The ceremony
ended with a rendition of the Carole King song, "So Far Away"

In other Amy news, MTV plans to air a special Amy Winehouse concert on Wednesday
at 6:30pm. The concert was originally filmed in April of 2007 and showcases
Winehouse standing on the verge of superstardom. She is backed by the The
Dap-Kings as she performs with Mos Def on Love Is a Losing Game and sings her
classic hits including Rehab, Back To Black, Me & Mr. Jones, and You Know I'm No
Good.

"The Big Bang Theory" star, Kaley Cuoco, will host the 2011 Teen Choice Awards.
A new category has been added to the 347 already announced and its "Choice
Vampire". The nominees are Nina Dobrev ("Vampire Diaries"), Robert Pattionson
("Twilight"), Nikki Reed ("Twilight"), Alexander Skarsgard ("True Blood"), Ian
Somerhalder ("Vampire Diaries") and Paul Wesley ("Vampire Diaries"). The 2011
Teen Choice Awards air live on FOX Sunday, August 7 at 8pm.

Kim Kardashian has been diagnosed with psoriasis, (sore-eye-a-sus) a chronic
skin condition caused by skin cells that multiply 10 times quicker than usual
and often result in "red patches covered with white scales." Kardashian's doctor
suggested she slow down her busy schedule to alleviate some of the symptoms,
which are often affected by stress., but Kim says that's just not possible.  She
says she's under pressure to always look perfect. While there is no known cure
for psoriasis, it is treatable with everything from topical ointments to
ultraviolet light therapy.

David Arquette and Courteney Cox have been separated since October 2010 and now
Arquette was spotted at Comic-Con's "Camp Playboy" event with Christina McLarty,
the ex-wife of "Girls" Gone Wild" founder, Joe Francis. The two also reportedly
danced all night at the Entertainment Weekly party together the following night.

Lindsey Lohan is being taken to small claims court by a guy who installed audio
and video equipment in her home in Venice, California last June. Stephen Clark
says he has yet to be payed the $1,100 dollars he's owed....so he's taking her
to court

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's 13-year-old son Christopher was
released from the hospital Monday night.  Christoper suffered a collapsed lung
and multiple broken bones after a boogie board accident in Malibu and had spent
several days in the ICU.

Kat Von D and Jesse James may have called off their engagement, but there is
still something that Kat will have to live with for quite some time...a tattoo
of Jesse's childhood school photo on her left side.  RadarOnline is reporting
that in the season opener of her reality show, Kat was nervous about surprising
him with the tattoo, but he loved it. Kat says she was scared about Jesse's
reaction. "I thought you were going to tell me you were breaking up with me"
she tells him.  The news the couple had split came Monday night.

Hugh Hefner is not at all happy that his ex-fiancee, Crystal Harris, is going on
the radio and telling everyone that she never saw the Playboy founder naked and
was disgusted with their sex life, saying it never lasted more than two seconds.  
Hef is speaking out saying it's all lies and he doesn't understand why she's
saying such things. Harris partied with Heidi Montag on her would-be wedding
day, and later tried to sell her engagement ring.

Sony Electronics has become the official sponsor of THE X FACTOR. The latest
Sony consumer electronics products will be featured in episodes throughout the
season, and an in-show integration will highlight the Sony products used on the
set. X-FACTOR debuts on Wednesday, September 21st.

Former Jersey Shore star, Angelina Pivarnick, says she’s suffered a miscarriage
and blames it on the stress of everybody in the media. Pivarnick had a short
engagement in February to Dave Kovacs before the two split and she announced she
was pregnant in April. She says the event has been a reality check for her.

While always said he would never, ever get married, KISS frontman Gene Simmons
has proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Tweed.  The proposal will be
seen on the reality show, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels." The couple met 28 years
ago and have two children together.

Actress, Selma Blair, 39, gave birth to a boy on Monday, she and fashion
designer boyfriend, Jason Bleick, named the baby, Arthur Saint Bleick. The
couple met when collaborating on Bleick's line EVER.
