David Letterman will celebrate 18 years of "The Late Show"... Dave's August 30
anniversary show will feature Joe Namath, Alec Baldwin and Lenny Kravitz.

Judge Michael Pastor ruled Thursday that the Dr. Conrad Murray jury will NOT be
sequestered, because the judge does not want jurors to feel like inmates. While
Michael Jackson's death is incredibly high profile, he feels that sufficient
measures will be in place to make sure the jury is not contaminated or harassed.

Jaime Pressly was lucky and cut a deal for her DUI that will keep her out of
jail even though her blood alcohol level was nearly THREE TIMES the legal limit.
The "My Name Is Earl" star was charged with two counts of DUI -- driving under
the influence, and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher but the
first count was dropped after striking a deal with prosecutors and Jaime pled
"no contest" Thursday to the second.  She did receive three years probation. Had
she not struck the deal, Jaime could have faced as many as six months in jail.

DMX was pulled over Wednesday night in Arizona for driving 102 mph in a 65mph
zone. He was booked for speeding, reckless driving, and the suspended license
and has since been released on bond. DMX has now been busted 10 times in
Maricopa County, AZ. Back in 2008, Sheriff Joe Arpaio made the rapper, along
with his fellow Tent City Jail inmates, sport a pink jumpsuit .

It's being reported that David Arquette has been meeting up with pro dancer Kym
Johnson to get ready for "Dancing with the Stars"...

Michael Showers, an actor who had a recurring role as a police officer in the
HBO series "Treme," was found dead in the Mississippi River. The body of the
45-year-old was pulled from the water near the French Quarter in New Orleans.
Showers, a native of nearby Chalmette, La., was spotted by a steamboat captain
Wednesday morning. The local coroner's office said it appeared Showers' body had
been in the water for about two days. Showers played police captain John Guidry
on "Treme," an HBO drama set in New Orleans in the months after Hurricane
Katrina.

Johnny Depp has made a cameo in the movie version of "21 Jump Street"...the 80's
show that made him famous. Johnny makes appears briefly as a teacher and he
bumps into his 'old' character in the halls of the high school. Depp starred as
Officer Tom Hanson from 1987 to 1990 in the series. The film is set for a 2012
release.

TMZ is reporting that multiple members of the crew that work on "HawthoRNe" say
that Jada Pinkett Smith and Marc Anthony were not intimate on the set.  The two
seemed to go out of their way to not create any talk.  They would never run
their lines together in their trailers but rather would do it out in the open,
with an acting coach present.  When Will visited his wife's set, one person said
"It looked like they were on their honeymoon."

Alec Baldwin appears to have fallen hard for his new 27 year old yoga
instructor, Hilaria Thomas. Sources close to the "30 Rock" star confirmed that
Baldwin has sold his 300 Central Park West apartment at the famed Art Deco
Eldorado to move in with his girlfriend downtown. The two have been seen wearing
what appear to be promise rings and friends say Baldwin wants to get married.

Melissa Gilbert filed for divorce Thursday, from her husband of 16 years, Bruce
Boxleitner.  The couple announced a trial separation in January but didn't
announce their split until March.   The couple have one son together,
15-year-old Michael. She also has a 21-year-old son from a previous marriage,
while Boxleitner has two sons, ages 30 and 25, from a previous marriage. Gilbert
listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.

A small kitten who survived being thrown from a moving car on New York City's
Verrazano Bridge in July has been adopted by Whoopi Goldberg.  An animal control
officer witnessed the action and quickly moved to save the five week old.  The
Russian blue cat named Verrazano, appeared "The View" in July.  Whoopi was able
to bring the kitten home just this week.

Kris Jenner, the mom of the Kardashian girls, has just signed on to guest host
the CBS show "The Talk."  She'll be appearing for two weeks soon after the
season resumes September 6th.  There's been a series of changes for the show.
Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete were recently let go and Sharon Osbourne
announced that she has requested a leave of absence.  Only Julie Chen and Sarah
Gilbert, who is also the show's creator, remain full time. Comic Sheryl
Underwood also joined as a part-time host.
