For the first time, Sesame Street has responded to the age-old rumors that Bert
and Ernie are gay. A petition emerged online this week, urging the creators of
Sesame Street to marry the two puppets -- but the Sesame Workshop just posted a
message on its Facebook account, writing, "Bert and Ernie are best friends." The
statement continues, "They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be
good friends with those who are very different from themselves." "Even though
they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and
characteristics ... they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation."

I'm not a thief, I'm a hooker!  That's the defense that Lucinda Moyers is using.  
She was arrested after allegedly sneaking into Alex Trebek's hotel room,
prompting the game show host to chase her down. She is accused of stealing a
wallet, bracelet and $650 in cash. Attorney Mark Jacobs, who represents Moyers,
told the San Francisco Examiner that Moyers was at the Marriott Marquis hotel to
meet a client, but the man who hired her never answered his door. Moyers claims
she never entered Trebek's room. Prosecutors say Moyers was convicted in 1990,
1991 and 1997 for burglarizing hotels in San Francisco and has spent more than
12 years in jail.

"iCarly" star, Miranda Cosgrove, was in a tour bus accident on Thursday morning
and broke her ankle. The 18-year-old was one of five passengers on the bus when
it struck a portion of an overturned semi-trailer. Cosgrove's tour bus was on
I-70 en route from a Ohio performance to her now-canceled August 12th show in
Kansas. Miranda's "Dancing Crazy Tour" will now be postponed until further
notice ... adding, "Miranda thanks everyone for their understanding and
support."

Variety magazine is reporting that Ava Smabora, the 13 year old daughter of
actress, Heather Locklear and rocker Richie Sambora, has joined the cast of the
new Judd Apatow film. The as yet untitled comedy features Paul Rudd and Leslie
Mann reprising their roles from the 2007 hit "Knocked Up." The Universal film is
scheduled for release on June 1, 2012.

The crazies always seem to be able to find Sharon Stone.  A 50 year old man was
handcuffed and taken away by police after banging on the gate of her Hollywood
Hills home and yelling he was the one who killed Osama bin Laden.  Her also
ranted that he and Sharon had a love child together.  Reportedly the actress was
not home and thought to be in New York shooting a movie.  It's the second time
this year someone left her home in cuffs....(that we know of...lol)

Christina Aguilera has agreed to perform at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert
in Wales this October.  She joins already committed artists, Cee Lo, Smokey
Robinson, Leona Lewis, Craig David, UK boy band JLS, and Alien Ant Farm. Members
of the Jackson family will also be performing at the October 8th concert in
Cardiff.  More bands and performers will be announced as the date draws closer.

Actress, and talk show host, Ricki Lake has announced her engagement to
Christian Evans.  The two have been dating for just about a year. Lake divorced
Rob Sussman in 2003 after nine years of marriage. She and Sussman have two sons,
Milo, 14, and Owen, 9.

Seth MacFarlane, creator of "Family Guy," "American Dad" and "The Cleveland
Show" will host the upcoming roast of Charlie Sheen. "Charlie is a true icon
with a talent that is strong and pure and concentrated into small crystals which
can be smoked or eaten," MacFarlane said in a statement. MacFarlane has served
as roast master twice before while roasting Donald Trump and David Hasselhoff.
The roast airs September 19th at 10pm, the same evening as the debut of Ashton
Kutcher on the new "Two and a Half Men."

Kirstie Alley is writing a new book that is due out July 2012.  The book will
chronicle her life as she lives up to her mantra "60 is the new 30." Alley's
first book, "How to Lose Your Ass and Regain Your Life," was released in 2005.

The Big Brother finale is set to air on Wednesday, September 14 from 9.30pm to
11pm. The Big Brother finale will be preceded by the 90-minute season premiere
of Survivor: South Pacific, hosted by Jeff Probst.
