ABC officially announced that this coming season will be the last for "Desperate Housewives". The show's creator Marc Cherry said, "I think the only thing harder than creating a hit show is to know when to end it."

1. Charlie's cause of death, apparently, is Parisian subway car. Harper's stalker-turned-wife Rose speaks of the accident at the funeral, not-so-subtly implying that she probably gave him a little push off the platform.

2. Jenny McCarthy will reprise her role as one of Charlie's many girlfriends and John Stamos will make a cameo as one of Charlie's previously unseen friends.

3. One of Charlie's bowling shirts and a pair of his cargo shorts will hang on the funeral set in lieu of a casket or urn.

Ethan Hawke has been a new father for a few weeks now and they didn't call a press conference, so no one knew!  Hawke and his wife, Ryan welcomed their second child together, a daughter they named Indiana. The couple were seen walking with the newborn and big sister Clementine (3 years old) in New York on Friday. Hawke has two older children -- daughter Maya (13) and son Levon (9) with ex-wife Uma Thurman. He and his second wife met when she briefly worked as a nanny for his and Thurman's children.

Big Boi, rapper for Outkast, was arrested in Miami Sunday on charges of drug possession. According to the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department, Antwan Patton (his real name) was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. The controlled substances were listed as ecstasy pills, MDMA powder and Viagra. Law enforcement sources tell us he was busted by customs and border patrol dogs as he was exiting a cruise ship.  He was released on $16,000 bond.

The son of actor Anthony Quinn, Francesco Quinn, died Friday night at the age of 48. Quinn was running near his home with his son Max when he collapsed. Paramedics arrived quickly but Quinn was pronounced dead from a heart attack at a local hospital. Quinn appeared in the movie "Platoon" as well as TV shows such as "The Young and the Restless," "The Shield" and "24."

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Flavor Flav and Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider will appear on an as-yet-unscheduled episode of Celebrity Wife Swap. Snider has four children with his wife of nearly 30 years, Suzette. Flav proposed to his current wife Liz on a 2008 reunion episode of "Flavor of Love".

Elton John and his mate, David Furnish and their son, Zachary, hung out with Neil Patrick Harris and David Burthka and their twins Gideon and Harper, at Club 55 in St. Tropez over the weekend.  All three kids are under one year old. The foursome first met up with all their children in February and Neil has often commented on Elton and David’s great parenting skills.

The Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History is opening a new exhibit all about the rescue of 33 Chilean miners who spent more than two months trapped underground in 2010.  The exhibit is called, "Against All Odds."  The exhibition includes one of the rescue capsules used to bring the miners to safety, mementos and personal stories from the miners.

The new cast of "Dancing With the Stars" will be announced on the August 29th episode of "Bachelor Pad"...Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke will be returning as hosts.  The season itself kicks off three weeks later, Monday, Sept. 19, with a two-hour premiere.

Lady Gaga took in Britney Spears' "Femme Fatale" show Saturday night in Atlantic City.  Britney announced that Gaga was there from the stage, saying "I have a very special guest tonight...Lady Gaga is here." The crowd went crazy. Gaga, sitting up front in the floor section, stood and waved and a made a heart sign with her hands--and Britney hearted her right back.
