<p>TheWrap.com is reporting that the deal between Jennifer Lopez and "American
Idol" is done and red hot, but hasn't been signed yet.  Lopez will be returning
as a judge to the show next season with a contract from Fox that hits the $20
million mark. Last year Jennifer was paid $12 million.  Now the only hurdle
appears to be scheduling the audition segments between the two movies she's
shooting.

DJ and former Lindsay Lohan flame, Samantha Ronson, was arrested early Monday
morning outside of Baker, California on suspicion of driving under the

TMZ is reporting that automotive legend, Carroll Shelby, the very man who
designed the Ford Mustang Cobra, has been sued by a former receptionist who
claims the 88-year-old sexually assaulted her ... and also ignored her
complaints when she told him she was raped by one of his employees.  Angelica
Smith filed paperwork in L.A. County on Monday that said she began working for
Shelby back in 2005 as a receptionist ... but was treated as a "personal
servant" ... with Shelby often forcing her to go out on "grocery runs, liquor
runs, pornography runs." Smith claims Shelby ran a "pervasively hostile work
environment" ... and "on at least one occasion, Shelby himself sexually battered
her by groping her" at his home.  She claims that in December 2010, she was
drugged and raped at Shelby's home by a man who worked for Shelby. Smith says
she told Shelby what happened and feels she was later fired Instead, Smith
claims, she was fired -- partly out of retaliation for reporting the rape to
Shelby. Smith is suing Shelby, Shelby's companies and the alleged rapist -- and
she wants more than $5 million in damages.

There is going to be a "Friday Night Lights" movie, my fellow football loving
friends. According to the series' executive producer Peter Berg, the movie is on
track and the script is being written. They hope to be in production early next
year.

Nearly 6 months after she was shot in the head, Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle
Giffords was able to walk into the House of Representatives in Washington D.C.on
Monday (to a standing ovation) in order to personally cast her vote in favor of
the debt ceiling bill.

One of the men who was with Bryan Stow at Dodgers Stadium on the day he was
attacked has died.  Officials believe Stow's friend, Matthew Lee accidently ate
a salad that contained nuts.  Lee's official cause of death has not been
released -- but according to reports, officials believe his death was the result
of an allergic reaction triggered by nuts in a salad he had eaten for lunch. Lee
was regarded as an important witness in the case against Stow's alleged
attackers -- Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood. Prosecutors believe Sanchez
punched Lee in the parking lot of Dodgers Stadium before attacking Stow.

resume touring in Canada on September 28th.

Charlie Sheen is paying for his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, to go through rehab.
Reportedly the actor didn't like the idea of Brooke heading to Mexico for
treament that involved prescribing a drug that's not legal in the United States.
Word is that Charlie actually flew down to Mexico in a private jet, picked her
up, and brought her back to the States and has set her up with her own rehab
team at an undisclosed location.
