Or did they? You can catch the flu virus standing 6 to 9 feet away from anyone who's infected. And with all contagious ailments, the time you're giving it to someone else is when you don't know you have it yourself...first 24 hours of asymptomatic contraction. I've never understood nature's reasoning with that. Seems like it would wait until we had symptoms to be contagious.
Anyway, if you want to point the finger at someone (a thoroughly washed finger of course), there's a new Facebook App called "Help, My Friend Gave Me the Flu" that will track posts mentioning flu-like symptoms, then give you a list of culprits. I think this works a little like how the CDC might track it. Check it out here!
