...or Spruce, or Frasier Fir! It's that time again. That beautiful beacon in the corner of your den with all the lit up glory it could muster for the holidays, keeping us in cheerful spirits has outstayed its welcome. Or has it? How long do you keep your Christmas tree up? If it's time to say farewell until next year, be sure to recycle that precious thing into mulch.
That way you're helping to create wildlife habitats and playgrounds and a beautiful landscape project for yourself. Keep Ga Beautiful has their One For The Chipper program with locations at varying Home Depots where you can recycle your tree then get a seedling. I think they still giveaway the seedlings...check it out here. That link will also let you find a recycling place near you.
